Q: Hi,

Would you view Corby Spirit and Wine a buy at this price. The yield is interesting at over 5%. Do you see some capital appreciation over the next three years and is the dividend sustainable?

Q: Hi Peter, a follow up on my last question about voting and non-voting shares. Today Corby voting shares traded 14000+ shares and non-voting shares traded 665. Did you get part of the answer backward?

Q: Hi Peter. When should an investor buy non-voting shares instead of voting shares in a company? Say Corby. The dividend is a little higher on the non-voting shares. Is this typical?

Q: I owned this one a fair bit ago and sold at $22.00 because it was not a huge dividend grower even though they do have special dividends from time to time. I was thinking of buying again at current price; however, concerned about business: know they have their own brands; but, licence agreements to distribute for other companies. How solid are these agreements? Of course, the other issue is trading volume - but, can live with that - buy a small position of 3 to 4K shs.

Q: In May of 2017, I purchased some stocks on the advice of a different service than I5.
Including dividends, my returns are as follows:
CSW.A minus 11%
XTC minus 21%
PZA minus 30%

In hindsight, I should have probably cut my losses at some point.
Do you have a suggested trigger to sell after a set loss percentage?
Do any of the above warrant holding or should I sell and reinvest in similar categories? Probably for another 3-4 years.

Q: I know you have responded to questions about this company in early March. Given the current price decline and 5% dividend would you consider it a reasonable buy for income and longer term share price increase? As you now they have paid a special dividend from time to time.

Q: CSW seems to be out of favor. Can you comment/speculate as to why, please. With no debt, in demand products and nice dividend, I'm confused by its performance or lack thereof.

Could you please provide the S&P or DBRS issuer rating or bond rating of : ENB, TRP, PKI, BCE, CSW.A, AW.UN, SIA.
This information is very difficult for me to find and is often quite dated. Could you suggest a source I could use.

Q: I'm wondering if (part of) my investment philosophy is wrong? I have some income stocks & ETFs in my RSP (and about to RIF), not because I necessarily need or needed the income on a current basis, but on the basis that the dividends get reinvested in a DRIP for an eventual payoff. Yet even after 5+ years, these two "safe" (?) stocks in particular are down 15 - 20% even after all reinvested dividends?! I'd hate to calculate how much they'd be down if I had taken the dividends and spent them. While they didn't suffer as much in 2018Q4 as some others, they have been a disappointment. Do I need a rethink of my philosophy? Should I continue to hold these two/three? Thanks.

Q: Would you rather add to brookfield renewable or start a position in superior plus ?

Also, would you prefer Corby or Andrew Peller ? or neither at the moment and quickly explain why ?

Q: Andrew Peller was a recent top pick by Ryan on BNN. Please compare with Corby in terms of risk, income, and growth. I have read past questions on these two, but would like a comparison as of now, for potential capital appreciation and income, in your usual thorough manner. Would you recommend one or perhaps both?

Q: In my husbands lif account we are going to need to replace enercare with safe dividend stocks. Sectors are not important. Current holdings are : A and W, BGI.un, Crius, Gamehost, RNW. Current dividends are greater than the withdrawal. We would be looking to add stocks whose dividends would be reasonable safe in an economic slow down.
How do you feel about the following strategy and please feel free to offer other suggestions or comments:
Bip.un, Bce, Alta gas, Bns-
Either fortis or Aqn
And then something with growth potential such as a corby ( as it has no debt) or transcontinental ?
We are also open to other suggestions.

CSW.A, CSW.B) announced today that it has entered into agreements appointing
new distributors for its products sold in the United States of America (the
"USA"), for terms beginning following the expiration of Corby's agreement with
Pernod Ricard USA, LLC on June 30, 2018. Corby entered into an agreement providing 375 Park Avenue Spirits (http://www.375park.com/) (a dba of Luctor International, LLC ("375 Park Avenue Spirits")) the exclusive right to represent J.P. Wiser's® Canadian whisky and Lamb's® rum in the USA effective as of July 1, 2018 for a five-year period to June 30, 2023. In addition, Corby entered into an agreement providing Hotaling & Co. (http://www.hotalingandco.com/) ("Hotaling") the exclusive right to represent Corby's Northern Border Collection of Canadian whiskies, consisting of Lot No. 40, Pike Creek, and Gooderham & Worts, and Canada's number one super-premium gin, Ungava® effective as of July 1, 2018 for a five-year period to June 30, 2023. Finally, effective July 1, 2018, Polar Ice® vodka, one of the best-selling Canadian vodka brands, will continue to be available in the USA, and will be
imported under an agreement with MHW, Ltd. (http://mhwltd.com/) ("MHW"). This
agreement is for a term of one year, subject to extension as provided for
under the agreement.
