Q: Hello,

I need to sell approximately $100,000 from my Unregistered account. I am trying to hold off as long as possible. Looking for your suggestions on which of the listed ETF's I should sell or should I sell a certain percentage from each one given where the market is now and where it might be going? If Industrials or Health care, etc. are projected to go higher then I obviously want to sell out from some other sectors.

Thanks for your great service. It was much easier to stay the course with my diversified portfolio and Portfolio Analytics keeping me on track.

Q: Hi 5i Team - Could you provide a couple (or more) ETF's related to the NASDAQ, with a long term horizon in mind. In particular are there any that reinvest their dividends rather than distribute them to their investors. Also what are the tax implications of reinvesting rather than distributing. Is there an ETF that covers all the listings on the the NASDAQ itself. Thanks.

Q: Can you recommend your favorite Cad Hedged Nasdaq ETF and also Cad Hedged S & P 500 ETF?
My reason for hedging is with Canadian Energy companies picking up, unless we have a housing correction, the Cad dollar should eventually rise.

thanks,

Paul

Q: I have about 10% of my portfolio in NVDA currently, and am . I have a 20+ year time horizon. Is this too risky of a position to take? Would I be better to put some or all of the money into XQQ, VUG, or GOOG to de-risk and position myself for long term returns?

Q: I am looking at 2 and 5 years charts for both funds and VGT was outperforming XQQ all the time in the last 2/5 years and didn't get cut as much. if you were to pick one now would you still go with VGT?
What is your view on ARKK now?

Q: Dear 5i team.

Further to Cyril's question where you "hand selected a few of your favs from the three portfolios", is this a diversified enough list to put a small ETF portfolio together based on? Can you suggest which ETFs may be appropriate?

I recently upgraded to include your ETF portfolios. Can you "handpick your favs" in these given the current market backdrop, risks, and opportunities ahead?

Many thanks.

Q: I would like an ETF to take advantage of the pull back in tech stocks. I generally like the holdings of XIT except for the huge position in CSU (I bought some anyway because I've always been wrong on CSU). Its a small position which I would like to build on but I would also like to add some US exposure - preferably CAD since I don't feel like exchanging more funds right now. Suggestions?

Also, what is your current opinion of PTF? I only recognize a few of their holdings and have no idea how to assess, apart from noting their reasonably good history.

Q: I notice that XQQ does not seem to have the same performance as compared to ZNQ and HXQ over the last week, month and 3 months according to Globe and Mail.

XQQ seems to track the NASDAQ or QQQ "better" .

Can you help me understand this please.

Q: We have set up a RESP for our new grand daughter, we are looking to invest in a growth ETF. Considering the unsettled markets at this time would it be advised to invest in a ETF like HXQ or would you have some alternative suggestions

Q: Do Canadian ETFs that track US tech firms underperform? I was looking at these and a few others on the G&W and the Canadian ETFs with the exception of HTA and HTA.B (up 35%ytd) seem to have significantly lower returns. And I think HTA uses covered calls.

XLK is up 32% ytd, IYW 35%, IGN 31%. The most popular Canadian ETFS seem to be ZQQ(ZQN) 26%, XQQ and HQQ 26% and TEC 25%. Some of this is due to currency moves, but the hedging costs of the hedged ETFs surely aren't that large. Is it better to just buy XLK or are HTA/HTA.B a better alternative?

Q: There seem to be a number of CAD Hedged NASDAQ 100 ETF options. Which one(s) would you recommend for a couple of young investors, both of whom will be making regular, small contributions - one to an unregistered account and one to an RRSP? Was thinking of pairing with XEQT as both are looking for 100% equity exposure (in CAD). Your thoughts on this or other suggestions to pair with the NASDAQ 100 that may be more suitable would be appreciated. Thanks.

Q: I have these ETF's in a TFSA with a primary goal 8 to 10% annual return. I'd like your opinion if there is overlap in this portfolio and if there would be another ETF to add. This is a smaller portfolio and I don't think it would be efficient to buy the individual stocks in your balanced equity model portfolio.
Thanks!
