Q: Earlier you commented on the earnings saying that the market may not like their revenue miss from $35.4M from and expected $36.2M.
On the other hand, they bought a company as big as them. Since that deal closed on March 31, it was not accretive to the earnings released yesterday BUT they guided considerable higher on revenue and EBITDA for the year.
Wouldn't increasing the future guidance have more of and effect on the stock price than earnings of a quarter where the puchase was not accretive?
Thanks

Q: As I write this, Friday mid afternoon, all of the markets are sharply higher. Gains seem to be pretty much across the board. I like to look at outliers that are bucking the trend. There are a few stocks that you have been optimistic about that are actually down today. Wondering if any of these are not as favoured by the market, given their performance today. Perhaps issues with recent results. Understanding that you can't read too much into one day's trading, but several of these have dropped quite a bit lately, and I'm wondering what your current feelings would be on buying these today for a long term hold in a diversified portfolio. Would you give each a rating from 1 to 10 as to how strongly you would want each of these in a portfolio? BYD, CSU, CTS, DOO, DND, ENGH, LNF, PBH, REAL, STC.

Q: All these CAD stocks have been severely hurt today, do you know the reasons why? True that some have had worst than expected earnings releases but it looks like there has been a wholesale seller out there

Q: Hi, I have these stocks in my Tfsa account, and looking to add two more . Keeping the sector in mind , would like a couple suggestion on a (small dividend if possible) steady growth stock. Was looking at SLF or X but not sure.
Thanks

Q: Hi,
I hold the above companies in my TFSA and would like to make the portfolio more concentrated for better upside potential. If you were forced to cut three positions and add the proceeds to any of the existing holdings, which one’s would you choose? Long term growth is the only objective.
Thanks

Q: I'm looking to reduce the overall amount of positions. Of my tech names which would you suggest selling?

From what I can gather you prefer NVDA to AMD and would suggest one of either SHOP or LSPD. Is this accurate? Other suggestions or ideas to pair down?

Thank you very much

Q: AEM just bought on 23rd and no sooner bought than it started to drop off. I researched a bit further and seen a couple of days ago, there was a target cut by Bay Street HTTP. Not concerned but should have researched before I bought. Over the last few days I added to STC and ROQU and took a new position in CRNC. They do not seem to be participating in this 5 day rally. Any recent negative news on any of these securities? Awaiting your good advice. Thanks,

Q: I was wondering what your current assessment of STC would be? Since its major acquisition it shot hire and has steadily drifted down (still up YTD and year over year I realize). I am assuming it has to do with investors wanting to see a few quarters post-merger and possibly a lack of news? Am I missing something?

The price is now nearing where it was pre-merger. Could the current price be under-valued and a good position to add, or would you want to wait for a quarterly report or two to see how the merger shakes out?

Q: I follow Jason Donville and like 5iresearch recommends similar tech companies as 5i using "the rule of 40". Do you use this rule? Other than his fairly transparent newsletter, is there any way to see exactly what his holdings are in the DKAM Capital Ideas fund?

Q: I’m adding to a partially established portfolio (growth-oriented, long-term). I’m interested both in taking advantage of the recent tech downturn (although not too much, as I’m already somewhat tech-heavy) and in further diversifying. Two questions:

1. I own partial positions in the following securities and am looking to add more. Could you rank them in your order of preference for purchasing now? Any you’d avoid buying now?

WELL, SHOP, ATZ, STC, PHO, ENGH, KXS

2. I’m considering buying positions in the following new securities (not easily comparable, I know), with a view to diversity and growth, as well as US exposure. Could you rank them in order of preference for purchasing now? Any you’d avoid buying now?

BNS, SLF, PLC, MG, LAC, REAL, TFII, NVDA.US, ROKU.US, SQ.US

Thanks for your great work and please feel free to dock me for two questions.

Q: I received a large booklet about Sangoma dealings with StarBlue, Is the stock still worth holding? You had previously recommended it.
Apple seems to be a has-been - should I move on to other performing tech stocks?
Where can I look for the dates for upcoming earnings reports? Where are they easily accessible? Thank you.

Q: Hi, I am a holder and have had the recent pleasure of walking through the Sangoma Proxy materials and have read more about the deal with StarBlue and I'm wondering your thoughts of the transaction, specifically around the details that the StarBlue CEO will be THE major holder of Sangoma (25%). I understand that Sangoma is using their much better capital position to expand and magically double their revenue and garner much more SaaS ARR, however, it feels like the StarBlue organization was far less diligent in their balance sheet management and overall operations. Do you feel the Sangoma management will actually be able to exert their clearly quite strong operational 'chops' on StarBlue? It sort of feels like a reverse buy; As in, StarBlue convinced Sangoma to 'buy' them and thus give them capital, but the actual ownership is with StarBlue.
