Q: In general, when the markets come roaring back, do investors tend to load up on those companies that weathered the storm (kxs, real thus far) or promising companies like lspd or stc who are taking a massive hit?
Thank you,
Kevin

Q: I noticed a number of questions recently concerning STC and I thought your members may be interested in the response I received when I asked my Hedge Fund (who follow the stock closely and are bullish) about the recent results:

We thought the STC quarter was strong. Gross profits were up 20% YoY and cash earnings were up 89% YoY. They lowered revenue guidance but increased EBITDA guidance.
Recurring revenue (service business) as a % of revenue

20% in 2018

30+% in 2019

40-50% in 2020

*Margins have followed suite

The conference call was very informative and the focus continues to be growing recurring revenues and profits

Feel free to publish this if you think it is of value.

Cheers
Scott

Q: After a recent run to $2.75 H on Jan 16,STC retreated to $2.38 on Jan 21.Any reason? Is this a good point to add to my 1% position(p/p $2.47)especially in light of the sharp drop in Asian markets & U.S. futures today? Also your expectations of eps & revenue of its Q2 on Feb 27. Txs for u usual great services & views Looking forward to seeing Ryan on BNN,Feb 26

This may be a bit of a "shot in the dark" question, but what i'd like to know is your top 5 companies with a "high risk - high reward" profile and 5 in the "medium risk - high reward" for a 3-5 year hold.
thanks

Q: I own CSU, DSG, ENGH, OTEX, SHOP, LSPD, KXS and STS and was thinking of adding GIB.A once the stock settles down a bit. I'm looking to increase my tech sector . Would you add to the existing holdings or would you recommend adding GIB.A to take advantage of the recent pullback?
Thanks for your service.

Q: Could you rate your Tech sector holdings for future growth from the model growth portfolio, this would be for a TFSA.

Q: Looking at one/both of these for a TFSA. Could you comment on their competitive advantage - if any. Other issues that would concern you ? If you were to put a 5i rating on them for the Growth Portfolio, can you take a stab at what that might be ?
The 3 smallest positions in my TFSA are MCR, PHO, and LSPD, (I also hold a full position in Shop) . Would increasing those be preferable ?
