Q: Hi 5i team,

Could you please comment on Rifco? Would you see it as a buy as it approaches it's 52 week low? Although, I would agree it's better to buy into strength, it's still a solid company with consistent execution and growth. It seems like it's being hit by the fear of interest rates rising (eventually), loan charges and a general shift away from growth stocks.

Also, if you had to choose between Rifco and Carfinco, which one would you buy? Or would you recommend waiting until there's momentum in these stocks before buying?

Look forward to hearing your thoughts as always.

Jon

Q: Hi Peter and team,

Is there any reason for the continual drop of rifco? It seems overdone, but it also seems like there's no end to the selling. The decline looks more than your typical profit taking selling. I don't see any news on the stock and their recent quarters have been solid. Other than the fear of higher interests rates, what else could be causing the drop? I still have a 20% gain in the stock, but would you advise selling to realize some gains before this stock loses anymore value?

Q: So further to my BAD question this morning, Rifco Inc. (RFC) reported earnings this morning. Things on the surface seem great as well, but loan losses increased and op expenses which could potentially eat into margins; cashflow overall is up. So for this company, for future reporting's, monitor loan loss and expense creep and that cashflow is in a comparable range? - Cheers.

Q: hello, thanks for the great service. My question is about RFC(rifco), it's been doing pretty good in the last few days. I know that you don't go for target price, but the word out in the market for the next year gives the stock at 14$. What are your thoughts? Is it a good possibility, because the way i see it it seems pretty high. thanks.

Q: Hi Peter:
I have a small position in both Carfinco and Rifco and both have done well, which one should I add to the existing position
in terms of risks and return ? thanks
I think you did mention that winter season is the time when the small cap stocks tend to do better, is this a seasonal trend? is there a reason behind it ?
thanks!
