Q: Hello team,
How do you interpret the short and long term effect of the Rolling Hills acquisition on the value of Tamarack Valley in the market and what do you think to the issuance of stock.
Andrew
Q: Do you currently prefer oil companies vs gas companies for growth ? Please give me your choices in your favorite sector.
Many thanks for your advice.

Q: We'd all love to get a look at a few stock prices from 5 years in the future. Get a big winner, or avoid a big loser, with no risk. If you could get a list of the prices of 10 Canadian stocks 5 years from now, which ones would you pick? Let's say stocks with a min market cap of roughly $1 billion Cdn.
Q: i was told tve is going to be in a taxable position end of year and that will mean they will have to pay taxes and as such cash flow will be reduced by approx 15% or what ever the tax rate will be. can you confirm this?
Q: I do not own any stocks in the Energy Sector and would like to add some. Please let me know what are your top 5 choices in this Sector and the reasons why you believe they are a good investment based on today's stock price.
Q: Hi team. If one would want to diversify more into the energy and materials sector what would you suggest would be your top 3 choices for each for a longer term hold (10+yrs). Thanks
Q: Hi 5i
Three questions if that's OK, points to be deducted accordingly:
1. What's the best site to find dates on which quarterly reports will be released along with estimates for the upcoming quarter?
2. Could you identify 2 or 3 small to mid cap O&G producers that you would recommend now (not including TVE or WCP) along with a thumbnail sketch as to why for each?
3. What are your thoughts about FRU for income and cap gain over the 12 months or so?
Q: Wondering what 3 or 4 Canadian stocks you would choose to buy in a non registered account now, waiting for a full economic re opening and a settlement on the Russia -Ukraine conflict?
Seems energy, financials and materials are at highs. Tech is beaten up.
MG and SHOP come to mind. Any others you would suggest?
Thanks
jeff
Q: Hello Peter and team,
Any idea why Arc Resources and Whitecap are not participating to the same degree as other oil stocks like Tamarack Valley? On BNN, it was mentioned that if Arc is not re-rated, it could be a take out candidate. If so, what price would you think makes sense as takeover candidate? Much appreciated.
In our combined accounts, we are overweight in the Consumer Cyclical sector, and hold ATD, BYD, CCL.B, and MG. These stocks have been held for some time, so we have reasonable profits in all four.
In order to raise cash for our under-represented energy sector, please rank the four Consumer Cyclical stocks in order of the first to sell or reduce.
Our Energy holdings include ENB, TOU, and TVE. Please suggest three or four stocks in this sector that would be complimentary to the three already held.
Please deduct as many credits as necessary for this somewhat long question, and as always, thanks for your valuable insight.
Q: I hold ERF, NVA, ARX, TVE, GXE, and VET in the "play money" part of my portfolio and I'm certainly benefiting from and enjoying the large increases but I know all good things must end and sometimes quite abruptly.
Are there a couple of key indicators I should be particularly watching for that it's time to get out of all of these quickly before I give up all my easy gains?
Q: I have very little energy exposure in my registered account.
Is now a good time to add a long-term dividend payer and if so, please suggest 2 for me to consider.
Preferably one that isn't already over-valued and therefore may drop in price should oil return to $50 or $60/ barrel.
Thanks.
