Q: Just to clarify, my question below is about CUS.DB.D

Just wondering what your thoughts are on the offer to redeem the 3 Canexus debentures. As an income seeking investor, should one accept the cash offer or keep the 6.5% debentures until the end of term? Pros and cons? I was also wondering if one doesn't accept the cash offer, will there be a secondary market for these debentures? Will the convertible feature remain in place? Thanks for all your help.

Q: I own both of these companies, through BMO INvestorLine. Keep getting messages to act upon something. I am of the opinion that failure to make an election will result in a cash payment under the arrangement to be paid in Canadian Funds (which I want). Timing 1 to 3 weeks for payment. Does this seem to be correct or do I really have to Make an election?

Q: I have been holding Canexus in the hope that they would transfer to SPB shares. I am currently up 14% on Canexus and I don't know whether I should take a little profit, or let it go through the process of being bought by SPB. Obviously more risk this week then in the past. Is CUS a sell because of the current risk? Cheers.

Q: I've read your last two "short term " trade thoughts on CUS, indicating that the easy money has been made.
I too thank you for this trade and have done well with it. I still hold both stocks, having put in 2/3 in CUS and the other1/3 in SPB. My question is the market seems to be still discounting the takeover for if it was to happen at today's closing price CUS could be worth $1.65. If you still like SPB why should I sell CUS? It would seem to me that they tend to follow each other.
Many Thanks for your excellent research.

Q: Hi, thanks very much for the 17% gain in just 7 weeks with CUS!! I have this in my TFSA and am now considering selling and replacing it with either RRX, HCG, KXS or DBO. Assuming diversification is not an issue, which do you see as the best upside potential? Or is it better to hold CUS for a little longer?
Thanks again! Ian
