Q: I'm planning to purchase 1 or 2 of the following stocks after the US election. Could you rate these 4 stocks in the order that you would recommend them at today's prices. Also which one is more under valued?

Q: I would like to make my TFSA more growthy. The candidates I have in my TFSA that I am considering replacing with more growthy names are: TD, IPL and WCP. I own these in a non-registered account as well, but since I can’t take advantage of the dividend tax credit in the TFSA I would like to replace them.

The growthy names I have in my TFSA are DHX.B, ESL, and GUD. I think I have enough of these, so I am looking for other suggestions from your growth and model portfolio. I am considering, CXI, TOY, PBH, ZCL (maybe KXS if it pulls back to the mid-50s). I already own SIS, NFI, OTC, CSU in a non-registered account and think I have enough for now.

What growthy (but not overly risky) stocks would you suggest for a TFSA today for a long term hold?

p.s. I have already maxed out my TFSA contributions. With some cash in the TFSA and the sale of shares I may not have enough $ in the TFSA to buy a full lot(s) of the replacement (e.g sell 100 shares of TD @ $58, buy 200 shares of TOY @ $31.50). I would rather not buy an odd lot (e.g 184 shares of TOY) because I don’t have enough cash in the TFSA, and I can’t add any more $ to the TFSA until next year. Should I wait until I can buy the full lot (i.e. the price falls, or I get dividends to increase cash), wait until January when I can add another $5500 to the TFSA, or find another stock where I can buy full lot(s). What is your opinion on buying odd lots, especially with low volume stocks like TOY and CXI?

Q: I'd appreciate your opinion/suggestions on a few companies that a GARP (Growth At Reasonable Price) style investor should find particularly attractive currently - ignoring sector diversification.

Thank you

Q: I submitted this question last Thursday and received the auto response that my question had been submitted but since I haven't received a response I will try again.
My question relate to the income portfolio. We own many stock from the 3 portfolios but now that we are about to retire, we are trying to mimic the income portfolio. I understand that if one already owned ET, SPB, VNR, and DH that we should stick with them however, if one was constructing an income portfolio today can you suggest substitutes for these names? Also, given the dividend that ZCL pays, would it be suitable for an income portfolio?
Thank you.
Maggie

Q: Do all above companies fall under Industrial? My total weight is 13% Is this too high? I feel that I have too many companies in this sector and may be better to have only 4-5? STN and WSP are similar so would it be better to sell one of these and add to the names that are listed. I am also thinking of selling ET and taking the proceeds to add to the other names now leaving me with 5. Is this a good approach?

Thanks
Dolores

Q: Being an income investor looking at the growth portfolio to add some growth ZCL stands out with the 3% yield. TD, Scotia or RBC dont cover it.2 have it in containers and packaging the other in oil/gas services. Have a few questions:
What is the expected growth?
Would it not apparent itself to PUR although not the same?
What is your view/rationnal for this stock?
Better in taxable account or not?
Love your stock picking started a 1% position in february SIS up by 122% since !
Many thanks !

Q: Hi 5i Research team, what do you think of the idea of not strictly using the official sector classification when calculating sector allocation? Would you agree that I split the sector allocation of some companies when appropriate (an option not available for the official classificator)? For example, would you agree with: SIS (healthcare 75% + industrial 25%), ZCL (industrial 25% + energy 75%), TNC (financial 50% + technology 50%), AF (industrials 25% + consumer discretionary 75%)? Thank you, Eric
