Q: I own many POW shares, some as the result of PWF merger. I would like to sell some of the POW, incur the loss and buy something else in the financials stocks. I already have SLF, MFC, FSZ and banks (BNS, TD, CM). And some preferred shares, mostly PWF/POW/ RY in this sector. I am reluctant to replace POW by GWO. Would IAG be a good candidate at the moment? Or take a risk in Us banks thru ZUB for example?.
I might sell FSZ because my expectation for a takeover or merger seems to diminish. Or would you keep it after their recent changes, since I don’t need more losses at the moment.
Thanks a lot.

Q: I'm looking to add another 5 quality dividend payers for the long term. Do you see any issues with my existing positions? SOME growth would be nice but secondary to dividend amount and safety of dividend. Industry and country are not important.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: I hold this stock. What does June 3rd news release mean to my position?
Q: FSZ trades exdividend today. If I purchase stock today do I receive the dividend or does the seller receive the dividend? Thx

Q: Hello Peter,
If you owned these as full-positioned laggards in your portfolio, but were also a patient, long-term investor and appreciated the dividends, which of the following would you currently hold, sell or add to at this time? FSZ, AW.UN, CSH.UN, T, EWJ, HCG, MX, KBL, APR.UN, ZPR, NTR, TECK.B and CN?

- NFI Group Inc. (NFI)
- Alaris Equity Partners Income Trust (AD.UN)
- Fiera Capital Corporation Class A Subordinate Voting Shares (FSZ)
- Exchange Income Corporation (EIF)
Q: Greetings 5i Team,
on 24 Mar, I SOLD these 4 companies for tax loss capture and am considering buying them back now. I note that FSZ and EIF have recovered more quickly than AD and NFI. Also, they are all still selling below what I had originally paid.
In what order would you buy these back? Is there a company(s) among them that you would not buy back at this time?
Thank you for this excellent service.

Q: Hi 5i - Retired income investor but also interested in growth. I have been holding FFH.PR.K:CDN for a number of years. Decent income but limited growth opportunity. It represents 1% of my portfolio. Portfolio analytics indicates I should increase my exposure to communications services. I've been thinking of selling FFH and buying BCE which I don't hold or adding to my current Telus holding (at 2.5%). Other options could be adding to Fiera (only 1% holding) or to TD (3.6%). Appreciate your thoughts and other options that provide relatively safe income with a greater long term upside. Really appreciate the good work you guys do!
- Fiera Capital Corporation Class A Subordinate Voting Shares (FSZ)
- AGF Management Limited Class B Non-Voting Shares (AGF.B)
Q: What is your opinion on replacing AGF.B with FSZ? I’m underwater big time with AGF.B, would incur a loss in my trading account and hopefully gain some of the loss with the FSZ dividend and possibly growth.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: If one believes the markets will return to" normal " FSZ looks like a buy. The company just announced a loss of 6.8% in assets to 158 billion in the quarter. (not bad considering the quarter the market put in)The stock is down 40% from the highs. Thoughts please.
Q: Any comment on the valuation of this company?
Q: Canoe Financial commented about a new product
"We believe, that coupled with our award-winning fixed income teams, it creates a balanced solution that will reward investors regardless of market conditions," concluded Hulston."
Is it really possible for the product they are referring to

Canoe Financial Launches New Defensive Global Balanced Solution With Enhanced Risk Management"
to reward investors regardless of market conditions?

Q: I would like to add a mix of income stocks to my portfolio (for a 5-10yr hold) which has been primarily growth oriented and comprised of a number of 5i’s BE Model Portfolio names.
a) Could you please rank the above listed stocks for dividends with preference for long term yoield of at least 4-5%, and growth back to YTD highs over the next year or two. Moderate to high risk is okay.
b) List any particular concerns you see with any of them.
c) Your suggestions for 1-2 better names in the current market to represent sectors such as utilities, financials, Telecoms, Reits, and ndustrials would be much appreciated.
Thanks for your wisdom and guidance over these unprecedented times.

Q: Can you comment on the implications on their deal with Canoe
Q: Have FSZ in rrsp so no tax loss. Close to retirement and portfolio is not doing that badly considering the meltdown thanks to your guidance. FSZ is the only stock that is down considerably. Average cost is 11.4. I like the dividends but are they likely to be cut? Not sure what to do with this one. Trim, add, or ?
Q: Thoughts on buying this? It is up 10% so maybe I missed the buying window?

Q: Hi 5i Research Team:
I have traded Forex before and am new to stock trading. 90% of my RRSP, RESP and TFSA is in cash and I'd like to avail the current market conditions by "gradually" buying the dips.. and holding it over the long term, 5 to 10 years. I understand that no one can time the market or its bottom.
After exploring the reports and questions on your site, I have identified the enclosed 29 stocks based on following criteria:
- Current Retracements of > 75% over 52 week high & low
- Dividend Yield > 5% (in some cases, like WEED, which is a bit risky, I understand there's no dividend in the near term.. and I am simply going for the upside swing over the next 2 years... same for CRON and Air Canada)
Considering my 90% cash position and strategy to partially buy in on dips over the next few weeks, can you please advise if my stock selection is sound. In addition to my stock picks, please advise anything else that I should keep in mind.
Thanks for everything you do. Much appreciate.
