Q: Hi Peter & Ryan, not many companies report earnings on Fridays after the markets are closed for the weekend. Fiera Capital has just indicated their earnings release will be on Friday August 5th after the close with their conference call being held 3 days later on Monday August the 8th. I don't recall many companies reporting after the close on Friday but the few I remember doing so did not release good results. Am I being paranoid or do we holders of Fiera Capital have reason to be nervous? Your thoughts... Thanks. Mario.

Q: I recently purchased shares of Magna on the idea that the sector is simply oversold and given a 5 year time horizon is as close to a sure thing as there is in the markets. When I look at the US markets in particular there are a lot of still beaten down sectors. Automotives is one of them. In Canada I am having greater trouble finding these kinds of bargains, while in the US there are chemicals companies, consumer discretionary companies, oil refiners and even banking which are very cheap and all of which could make some very nice moves akin to the one made in the materials sector these last few months. Do you see any of these unloved sectors here in Canada and/or which of them either here or in the U.S. would you currently favour. Thank-you as always for your answer.

Q: I currently own PWF and down 18% and it is in a non rrsp account.I can write this loss with a gain in another stock in which I am over weight and wondered if SLF or FSZ would be a better replacement for PWF? I own no other stock in the insurance sector but own BNS and TD for the financial sector.

Q: Hello Peter, I have two losers, CIX and POW in my portfolio. Kept hopping for a recovery but getting tired of waiting. I would appreciate if you can help me to find replacement for them. Is there a chance for them to recover in the next 6-12 months?
Thank you, J.A.P. Burlington

Q: My question was on cannacord. Bought at $11.00 earnings don't look good and compensation is an issue. What company in the same space would fit as a replacement. I think I have dead money for a while. What in your opinion would be a fair takeover price.

Q: Hi Team ... I am up nicely on BNS and will be selling some in order to maintain a proper weighting within my portfolio. I'd like to redeploy the proceeds within the sector and am looking for a company offering a nice yield as well as good growth potential. I'm leaning towards Fiera Capital (FSZ) and would appreciate your thoughts. Also, any other candidates I could be considering?
