Q: I am helping my son with his self directed RRSP and he has TD but would like to add another financial stock so which of the 3 listed would you suggest or is there a different one you would suggest? He is 31 years so has lots of time for investing.
Q: What is your opinion on buying FSZ and selling PWF at this time with respect to future income and growth potential? Joe
Q: Hello, I currently hold BNS, CM, & SLF in my financial sector portion of my portfolio. Which would be the better addition, if either, FSZ or GWO.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Please comment on Fiera's quarter and some of their recent initiatives; i.e. their offer to Acquire Charlemagne Capital Limited, their Centria acquisition and new management appointments. Is there a Trump effect one way or another on this stock? Still a good buy for growth and income??
Q: I am a retired income/growth investor, have sold some PKI (made over a double) and looking to reinvest in a similar growth/income stock. Would you have a preference between FSZ or EXE, they both pay about 5% and seem to have good prospects. If you have another preference I am all ears. Thanks,
John

Q: Hello 5i
With National Bank having ownership stake in Fiera Capital and National taking action to reduce costs and bolster capital, what are your thoughts on National exiting Fiera Capital?
Clearly if this did come to pass, a stock overhang and likely downward pressure on FSZ would develop yes?
The chart(FSZ 1yr) shows signs the stock price could break down as easily as up and the 3 yr shows FSZ in a long downtrend.
Would you be entering here($12.06 Pre-open today) and if yes, with what expectation and holding period?
Thanks
Dave

Q: Hello, This question comes from your comments to Joel regarding BDI. I am holding DCI pending the completion of the sale and wonder if BDI would be a decent choice for income and future growth. I am thinking of selling now and making the switch. I would appreciate your thoughts, pro and con as well as alternates I could consider. My portfolio is well diversified so not a consideration for this change.
Thanks for the advice and input.

FSZ has been marking time since its run up earlier this year.
Do you feel this is a good "value like" entry point?
In light of the recent acquisition, have you heard or is there indication of how the purchase will be funded.......a share issue expected?
Looking to purchase for excellent dividend and 3 to 5 year growth prospects, 3% wieght in a conservative / diversified portfolio.
Thanks

Q: What is your opinion on replacing a holding in PWF with FSZ with respect to future growth and income? Joe
Q: Hello Peter and 5i Team,
Can you confirm whether Fiera Captial would have any negative exposure to the upcoming changes to mortgage rules? Thank you, as always, for an excellent service to us all.

Q: I own shares of this company in my tfsa and looking at replacing it with another stock that has more growth potential.. What are your top three in this category. Thanks
Q: I was wondering if your response to Eugene this morning regarding CI Financial would also apply verbatim to FSZ? I work in the financial services industry and I share your concerns for growth in these companies. The dividend is great and I assume reasonable secure but do you hold much hope of the stock price ever rising? The share price is about where is was 2 years ago.
Appreciate your insight.

Q: I HAVE APT REITS AND ARTIS ALSO CSH.UN SENIOR HOUSING REITS SHOULD I SELL SOME AND ADD TO FSZ AND STOCKS THAT CAN BENEFIT FROM % rate hikes like some financials and low debt companies
Q: My wife and I each have 15000 in contribution room for our TFSAs. Thus far we have chosen more aggressive growth companies (such as KXS,GUD,SIS,NFI among others) based on your excellent recommendations. Can you suggest a few companies with potential growth but with a bit more size/stability than our existing choices. For example, we have considered FTS but are not sure if its growth profile is an appropriate fit for a TFSA. Thank you for your advice.

Q: I own these 2 stocks in equal amounts in my TFSA which equate to 6% of my total portfolio-the rest in RSP which comprises of mainly banks, utilities ,REITs and infrastructure stocks along with AD,SPB,VSN,WEF and PKI. Am looking for a dividend paying small cap stock with 4% yield with growth prospects to add to TFSA. Any ideas? Thanks

Q: It seems that every time Home Capital starts to move up a little there's another short attack to push it back down. I know you rate it quite highly, but is there really a future upside? I've held it for 2 or 3 years now, and am getting tired of waiting.
Is it better to replace it with another name? I already own FSZ, BNS and TD in financials. Thanks

Q: Hello Peter and Staff
I know you like this company . What I am trying to understand is their risk versus others like IGM or CI where there seems to be concern over the upcoming disclosure rule changes . Is FSZ not also exposed and if less so why?
Thanks for all you do
Dennis
