Q: Loving your content! One question --- for an investor with a 20-year outlook who is using a tfsa, do you recommend dividend stocks and your income portfolio? Or are your income recommendations specifically for investors with short-term income goals and tax requirements.
Q: Your Income Portfolio is sitting on 10% cash. I know you are not keen on both a) holding cash and b) market timing. Question 1 = what is your rationale for holding this amount of cash? Q2 = what are your plans and timing for reducing the cash component?
Thanks for your great service...Steve

Q: With the recent sell off, have any of the above stocks (contained in either the Income or Balanced Portfolios) reached the stage where you would call them "table-pounding buys"? In other words, has the market overreacted and the pendulum has swung too far?
Obviously, there is always the chance of a continued downdraft, but at some point you just step in top up your holdings.
The Income Portfolio is sitting on 10% cash...any thought to deploying some of it soon? Thanks...Steve

Q: I am 80 and my spouse is 76 , Can you suggest a portfolio with dividends? Thanks
Q: I have been reviewing your Income Portfolio. We have decided to bring all of the assets remaining with an Investment Company over to our non-registered account. Tired of paying the high fees and realizing that the rate of return is less than what we have been achieving ourselves over the past 5 years, in part due to the advice received through all the questions and answers on various topics we are able to read each day!
Considering the markets today, would you invest in the Income Portfolio in total ? Over what period of time? What changes you would make? Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan,
I am currently invested in various etfs under my wife and my registered accounts.
1) I would like to make BE portfolio as my core portfolio with about 20 stocks in it. Which stocks should I exclude and also please recommend 5 to 10 stocks from the Income portfolio
2) Should I split the portfolio holdings between my wife and my registered accounts to reduce the transaction costs or it is a good strategy to keep the same holdings as a separate portfolio in our accounts. We have an investment timeframe of 15+ years.
Thanks

Q: Do you know, or can you estimate, what portion of the Income Portfolio's yield qualifies as eligible dividends?
Also, are you aware of any income-focused ETFs where the distribution is mostly (65%+, say) eligible dividend?
