Q: A friend of mine is recommending this stock that appears to have a good moat and is bouncing back after the December sessions. Quite a drop. Would it be worth buying now?

Q: Hello 5i
If you were to take a large position(ie. 50% of your portfolio) in mobile payment space for a 20 yr hold, which US stock(s) would you hold?
If it is not visa could you provide why it is better than v respect to growth and safety.
thanks,

Q: I have noticed recently that Aapl, Amzn, Brk, Googl and V that the daily share volume has been about 70 % of the 10 day volume and Shop and Sq have been at or higher than the 10 day volume ( the stocks mentioned are some companies in my portfolio). To me this means that the rise in share price does not have wide support and could fall soon.
Appreciate your comments on the support of the rally and are people hiding money in short term instruments until they can verify one way or the other the next direction of the market.

Q: Back in October you discussed SQ and TEAM as US growth stocks worth a look. Any update to these and/or alternatives given the changed environment since then?
Q: SQ share price has basically been cut in half as of late. Do you see this as overdone? I am interested in the long term prospects in this company. Do you see it as a good entry point for this name? Also, if the US economy is slowing, do you still feel SQ will keep up its rapid pace of growth and is this company "here to stay" so to speak. It seems like this company still has a long runway of potential here globally, would you agree? Thanks for your comments.
Q: SQ, RPD, TTD, ILMN, OKTA -- they are all down farther than the market average is down. When do you see that these will be getting closer to where they were in August of 2018? Thanks for being around during this market disaster. Dennis

Q: Can you please provide a list of 5 US stocks which have been unduly punished in the recent market turmoil and could be poised for a bounce back over time. Thx
Q: The tech meltdown has been spectacular. Companies that "own their world" are being trashed. Amazon, Alphabet, Facebook, Nvidia, Square, Salesforce, Microsoft and Box are my favorites. Would you enter this sector now or just move on? Please comment/rank on my tech watchlist. Thank you.
Q: At this point in time would you prefer SQ or PYPL? Thanks
Q: On the losing end of these 3 - V down 12%, SQ down 35% and TEAM down 6% - thinking of selling before year end to capture the tax losses and then re-purchasing after the 30 days - question - is this a good idea ? OR should I just cut my losses on these 3 and look for something else that might be more in line with a possible "recession" on the horizon.
thanks
thanks

Q: I am trying to consolidate my U.S. TFSA into ETF's. On the tech side I own AMZN( nice profit) NVDA ( down 38%) and SPOT (down 4%) I am thinking of selling them and buying QQQ ETF instead.
On the financial side I own JPM (down 2.7%) V (down 1%) and SQ (down 6%) Thinking of selling these and buying DGRO ETF.
Your thoughts on this? Also if there are other ETF's that you think would be better for tech and financials, please let me know. Please deduct two credits if you deem it necessary.
Thanks for your great advice,
Jen

Q: Hi team,
I was waiting for volatility to subside before I asked this question, but that may never happen. I was reading the transcript of the SQ conference call some time ago and something caught my attention, but this is not a SQ question. It is an EB question. In her comments on the financials, Friar noted It was Square’s 1st Q of GAAP profitability with a net income of $20M. She said the reason for the positive quarter was SQ marking to market their investment in EB after its recent IPO. Otherwise, SQ had a loss of $70M. What are your thoughts on EB? Despite the tech wreck the fall, EB has held up quite well. I have read some positive reports on it and SQ has invested in it. By the way, I am not likely to buy EB at this time, as there are a lot of great stocks on sale lately. Just curious on your thoughts for the future.
Thanks again,
Dave

Q: You seemed to like BOX at $28 so I bought some. How do you like it at $18 after their report yesterday? Would you sell it and buy Square or Salesforce? Thanks.
Q: Thx for the quick response. Further to my question....do Why you agree w/ whoever downgraded SQ? What was the reason for the downgrade? And are you still confident in the upside of SHOP & SQ? If so, would you be a buyer today of both SHOP & SQ.
Thank you!
Thank you!
