Q: With the Canadian dollar on a bit of an upswing, I'm looking to add a bit more US exposure. Currently we have SQ, TEAM, MU and AYX as our "Growthier" US stocks. (Thank You!) We're wondering what your top US picks might be for being potential "up and coming" growth stocks that are maybe a bit under the radar.
Thank you

Q: I hold the above positions in the Information Technology sector of my US dollar portfolio that is balanced and well diversified. I am now able to add 1 or 2 Information Technology sector positions. Please provide me with your suggestions including weightings.
Also if you think that the above positions overlap one another, please let me know......Many thanks.....Tom

Q: Does the below note (from BMO) mean SQ is looking to push into the same space as LSPD? Do you view them as competitive or is overlap minimal?

01:38 PM EDT, 06/06/2019 (MT Newswires) -- Square (SQ) on Thursday said it will allow orders from Postmates, DoorDash, and online order integration company Chowly to appear directly in a restaurant's point of sale.

The move will give owners a combined delivery and point-of-sale product, eliminating the use of multiple tablets and the need to manually enter online orders, Square said.

Q: Hi team,

It’s been a while since a question on PYPL. I have held SQ for a long time, but I am starting to warm up to PYPL’s outlook. I have read a number of positive comments on PYPL’s Venmo app, that competes directly with SQ’s payment app. Venmo seems to be growing nicely and closing the gap behind SQ in monthly transactions in a very competitive payments space. PYPL seems to have better momentum as well. SQ has always been one of your favourites and mine as well but to me PYPL looks attractive here. I am thinking about shifting some SQ funds to PYPL. It would help tone down my beta as well. What is your outlook these days for PYPL in comparison to SQ?

Thanks again.
Dave

Q: Hi Peter and Company:
I am a growth investor, presently down on above 4 Canadian and 5 US companies.
Should I keep, sell, add or replace e.g. GC with TSGI.
Since US market usually outperforms CAN market I am fine buying all best US growth
companies that you will recommend...…..or mixture of US and CAN companies. Long term hold fine but not required. I will trade as required, i.e. when becoming aware of it. E.g. missed selling MX, where I had an nice gain but no alert to sell and now a significant loss.
Thanks for your advice

Q: Would appreciate your assessment of the merits of continuing to hold half-positions in BOX, NVDA, SQ, and SPOT, in search of above-average returns going forward and comfortable with risk. If you were on the sidelines, would you initiate new positions in any of the holdings, or alternatively are there merits in reducing any of these positions today in favour of more attractive risk/return opportunities in the US technology space (and if so, which tech opportunities have captured your recent favour)? Thanks for excellent services rendered.

Q: Hello 5i,
I’ve held Toy for a few years. When Toysrus hit last year many of us wrote in expressing concerns about the impact on the company questioning the growth prospects for spinmaster. It seems that management underestimated the impact because it keeps coming up in conference calls. As much as I’d rather not ask this question: should we question the skill of management to manage through this shift in landscape?

I held on to Ebix. Can you comment on earnings and offer an opinion in relative risk between it and CRM( on watch list but no position yet). For a long term hold which would be a better hold throug a market correction?

I’m underwater on sq and want to average down. Should I wait for a better opportunity to bring weighting to 2%? I know 5i is not thrilled at timing questions but how do tech stocks perform over the summer?

Please deduct three questions.
Thank you.

Q: I need to reduce my tech holdings, especially over the top with SHOP, but not complaining. Would you please give me your best momentum stocks, Canadian or US in any sector other than tech? I can tolerate some risk. Many thanks.
