Q: hi Peter a little confused by the P/E ratios which you show on these companies profiles. if I use 2019 EPS estimates that you Kindly provided I get PBH p/e of 17.34 not 34.10 SIS p/e of 23.20 not 34.40. DOL p/e of 20.52 not 24.50 and TSGI p/e of 11.82 not 73.50. not sure what I am missing. thanks Richard

Q: In my TFSA I currently have BCE, ENB, FTS, TRP, CNR, SLF, BNS and TD - I'm looking to make a change to get some growth and dividends - I'm looking at getting rid of BCE, ENB and TRP - my biggest losers down 10, 15 and 12.50 per cent respectively. Can you recommend some companies.

Q: I have had for years. If I sell, can you recommend a replacement? Thoughts?

Q: In the answer to question asked by Richard you state that the 2019 EPS for SIS 2019 is 83 cents.
The company recently announced an estimate of $60M earnings for 2019 with less tha $50M shares outstanding, which is obviously a higher EPS than your est. Is this because the company is referring to EBITDA and you are referring to net earnings?
When we are shown the forward EPS on Morningstar etc..., are they referring to EBITDA or net earnings? Is it really only net earnings that matter? Please explain.
Thanks
John

Q: What Canadian stocks would be considered dividend growers?
Read Answer Asked by Herbert on September 25, 2018
Q: Hello, SIS announced a couple of days ago it is increasing the dividend by 17% and provided its update on 2018 and 2019 guidance. The market welcomed the announcement with an upswing of 5%. But today again, it is down by 3%. The volatility is not matching with the market movement. Yes , the shares are up compared to a year ago. But still the movement of the stock is becoming un predictable to large extent. Is there any other news that I have missed on this counter. Thanks for your advice always.

Q: Hi guys,
I hold one ETF and a mix of equities (selected from your portfolios) in my TFSA, with the following weightings:
COV 5.48
CSU 6.70
GSY 5.42
KXS 4.93
PBH 4.26
PHO 4.50
SHOP 7.57
SIS 6.59
TOY 6.05
TSGI 5.63
VUN 30.35
WEED 12.51
Everything is up from initial purchase (many thanks) but some have grown much faster than others. I am considering rebalancing and/or adding a new position. Is there a notable position that you would add/remove (e.g, VUN in exchange for equities)? I have VXC and VCN in my RRSP so maybe VUN is better located in there.
Thanks for the amazing service and knowledge base that 5i provides.

Q: VMD is up 300% since March while of RHT drop more than 50%. They were supposed to be in the same space and RHT was supposed to be the better company. It makes lower lows every week with no end in sight. Is there any other option that will provide growth in a TFSA account.?

If you had a 2 year period and could take a calculated risk to see some good capital appreciation...what 2 US stocks would you buy right now? also what 2 CDN stocks would you buy or be adding too...No concerns on portfolio diversification or taxes..
