Q: I am trying to balance out my portfolio sector weightings and am having trouble classifying where these 3 companies should go. I have all 3 of them as "Manufacturing and/or Industrial" whereas you have BOS and MG as "Consumer Cyclicals" and BDI as "Energy". Can it be argued that these are Industrials or should I just stick with your sector classifications?

Investment Q&A
Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.
- Enercare Inc. (ECI)
- Transcontinental Inc. Class A Subordinate Voting Shares (TCL.A)
- AirBoss of America Corp. (BOS)
- Clearwater Seafoods Incorporated (CLR)
Q: I own TCL.A (2%) and am thinking of replacing it with either CLR, BOS or ECI. I already own 4% ECI and 3% CLR in my portfolio. What would be your suggestion.
Q: You often refer to a stock as expensive or as cheap or inexpensive. Can you explain what you mean by that. For example are KXS and SIS cheap or expensive? What about BOS at its current price?
Q: Which of these 2 industrial stocks would you pick today and why.
Q: Hello, I just sold Badger given its dramatic rise today. I like to sell high and by low. I have been watching Airboss and it appears to be well priced. Would you recommend buying Airboss to replace Badger.
Q: Part of the due diligence I do when looking at a company is to look at their web sites. Simple I know, but it can give important clues, i.e. is it there just to promote the stock?, who are their customers, what are their actual products?
When I looked at BOS, their product line seems very small, and doesn't seem to offer anything unique or proprietary. Am I missing something with this company?

Q: I am building a growth portfolio to mimic 5I -- and separate from my other holdings. I own BOS, CXR, DBO, KXS, PUR, SH and RRX at roughly 3% each.
Are all the holdings within the portfolio "buyable" at this time? i.e, do you have a preference in terms of 2 companies to add at this time, which might have more immediate "oomph". (For lack of a better word. I'm still caffeine-challenged at this time of day.)
Thanks for your excellent service.

Q: Hi 5i,what do you think of SNC hold or sell, and WDO is not going
along with price of gold, is the management OK ? And BOS, substantial decline of the price today indicate investors are not happy with the company I almost feel like dumping 2000 shares we hold in our cash account. Thank you for your advice. Motoi

Q: I have a strict portfolio plan I have followed for 20 plus years into retirement. 30 holds devoted to income and 5 to 10 for growth. average holding is 3%.quarterly earning on a singular basis don't generally worry me. However AD=3.25% of portfolio/ cost base $27.00 held since 2013,BDT=3.00%/cost base is $12.10 held since 2013 have been holds for their dividends. BOS=2%/cost $15.25 was bought for capital gain hopes. All three are having negative earnings currently. Please offer your views as to the stability of them going forward and if I should reduce or exit any based on the poor results. Thanks
Q: Would you be ok with a switch from BOS to NFI? As with other members, I've been a bit disappointed with BOS and am looking to reallocate within the Industrial sector.
Q: From the Q&A, I think you are saying that BOS isn't an outright sell but rather a patient hold. Do you believe now is an opportunity to increase a position or has this one become a "wait and see" stock? The performance has really been disappointing.
Q: Please comment on AT earnings.
Also should BOS still be held or sold becuase of the weak results. What would be the expected market reaction tomorrow.

Q: Peter and Team:
Above is a list of stocks I hold in an more aggressive non balanced account with no bias towards weighting. (I also hold a more balanced portfolio modelled much after yours--thank you!).
I am down 20-50% on all of these. I was wondering if you thought there were any I should cut loose now in search of better opportunities. I am patient (somewhat) with a long time horizon.
Thank you for a wonderful, ever improving service.
Phil

Q: Any reason for the recent volatility of Airboss share price?
- Linamar Corporation (LNR)
- Magna International Inc. (MG)
- AirBoss of America Corp. (BOS)
- Exco Technologies Limited (XTC)
Q: How would you rank these stocks based on expected total return on a 1-2 yr time horizon and why? Thanks.
Q: I bought a little Magna on Friday. It got me thinking the tire companies should have steady sales no matter if people buy Ford, GM, Tesla, etc. or even just maintain old cars but they dropped on Friday as well. What are your thoughts. Is there a company you like?
Q: Good Morning. Another election result surprise though the polls were closer than Alberta and our Federal. What company stocks are on the shopping list today? The US market seems to be lower than Canada, should we be looking there, or a Euro ETF? Thanks for your advice!
Q: Hello, Would you advise / recommend topping up BAD and BOS to a full position each (from a less than half position now) or would you recommend some other more promising names( from BE model portfolio). Thanks
