Q: Hello Peter and co,
I am doing a bit of overdue portfolio clean-up in a TFSA. (long time horizon) - considering selling these holdings and would like your thoughts:
GUD - loss of 28%, but it has moved up significantly the last few days. Keep, Sell now, or Wait (if it has further upside)?
FRII - 80% loss (ouch), but is up 65% since late Oct 2020. Keep, Sell now, or Wait?
FTG - 5% loss after years of holding, but is up 40% since late Oct 2020. Keep, Sell now, or Wait?
VSR - 40% loss, thought its prospects were compelling, but disappointed so far. Keep, Sell now, or Wait?
ENGH - 122% gain, but it has drifted lower since summer 2020. Keep, Sell now, or Wait?
Thanks again for your excellent service!

Q: Please comment on earnings
Q: Knight is said to report earning March 25. Can you advise market expectation and what the effect of a miss or a beat may have.
Thanks
John
Thanks

Q: Hi 5I team,
I am a new member and enjoying your service and advise, so far.
I bought GUD (the dud) back in 2017 @ 9.88 when it was Peters top pick on BNN Market Call. It really hasn't preformed well since and appears to be getting worst. I have read all the questions and answers you've provided and still undecided as to how best to proceed. What is your advise going forward, "hang on" or bail out. Thanks
Homer

Q: Sell GUD and buy XBC ? Thank you.
Q: I think Goodman should send a free bottle of (Tenapanor) to each one of his shareholders to cure the irritable bowel syndrome which he has given to all of us.

Q: What is GUD current cash position and also per share. Thanks
Q: Hi,
Are we too invested in hoping this name will one day pan out. Are gains just too far out to waste time holding this security any longer?

Q: Lost faith in CEO & his declaration that GUD is for grandchildren while the world is moving faster & faster. He is living on his past success. As a comparsion Well is making acquistions after acquistion, the latest being CRH,which is considered very beneficial. Has a 3% position in my TFSA bought many moons ago @ $10.16 incurring a44.6% loss.My thinking to sell it, if no catalyst in the horizon ,to buy better potential growth companies like ARKK &/or CURI.Still has 1% in non-registered a/c. Your comments. Thanks for u usual great services & views
Q: I have held Knight for many years waiting for the payoff. Now they are being booted out of the
Index to make way for GFL. They filed their shelf prospectus so perhaps something is brewing.
They report in March. Yes there is value but they sure haven’t created any in almost five years? How long do we wait?

Q: Just wanted your thoughts on why it's drifting lower and lower. Does 5i still consider it a growth story? Been very happy with my porfolio these days, but feel sorry a bit for the small portion I attributed to GUD. Thanks!
Q: I apologize for bringing up GUD, however there seem to be quite a few people waiting to jump on this stock. (I just did)
I have noticed as the price erodes there is a buyback, insider purchase or indication of possibly something coming up; creating a small flurry of buying until it deteriorates again.
This stock has been kept in the BE because of the co. strategy/positioning, cash position and track record of the CEO.
The CEO has stated you invest in GUD for your grandchildren -so the focus is on the business and not headlines or announcements.
It seems to me the insider/corporate buying is a signal to be patient - that they aren't asleep but are investing their own money and retained earnings back into GUD because it makes good business sense.
I can't imagine propping up the price for any other reason(please confirm).
Thank you

Q: Recently in response to questions, 5iR provided target sector weightings for a dividend conservative portfolio and also for a balanced portfolio.
For my income portfolio, with a target sector weight of 10% for Communications, I have a position of 3.50% in BCE and, for health care, with a target sector weight of 10%, I have no positions. What are some Cdn and US stocks and ETF, even in Cdn dollars, would you suggest I consider.
When it comes to the balance portfolio, the communication target sector weight of 5%, I have at position of 3.00% in Telus and in the case of health care, with a target sector weighting of 10% (say in US stocks), I hold no positions. Again, what are some US stocks and ETF, even in Cdn dollars, would you suggest I consider.
Yes this is two questions in one...so please deduct two credits............Again, Thanks........Tom

Q: Thanks for all your excellent work. Having recently moved to the US and opted to convert my young-ish Nova Scotia pension account to an RRSP and a LIRA, I’m looking to invest the ~100k in these accounts. Horizon: at least 5 years, but probably much more (I’m 40). Having narrowed down a tentative list of names (see below – tech-heavy, I realize), and with a focus on growth, I’m hoping to sort out the best buying strategy. Specifically: (1) At this moment, does the conventional wisdom to buy each stock gradually makes sense to you as good rule of thumb (e.g., over the course of a year, for each stock, adding a quarter of the total intended position once every few months or so)? (2) Also: I’d greatly appreciate seeing a ranked list of, say, which five of these stocks you think it would be especially wise to start with (i.e., buy now, or buy more of sooner) and which five you think I should wait to buy. Feel free to dock me for two questions! Thanks a ton, Chris

Q: Any chance somebody will buy this company? The stock has only one direction for the last 5 years and it's down. The CEO it seems wit's a one trick pony and we need somebody else to put the company out of misery.
Q: GUD (Knight Therapeutics) is in your model balanced portfolio and is down 48%. Would you explain why and if these are a buy today?
Q: Hi: I'm thinking of getting one of these for my 2021 TFSA contribution. Please advise, which one & why ? Thanks. Fooklin
Q: Hi folks, waited for tax loss season and bought full position in Knight for my TFSA . What significance, if any, does..."Signed a new exclusive distribution agreement with Gilead for the continued commercialization of AmBisome in Brazil, effective Jan. 1, 2021.", have for Knight. The potentials with Knight seem pretty good...even if they work at a snail's pace. Overall opinion on company into 2021. Thanks as always, jb Piedmont QC
Q: I intend to "bite the bullet" on these two dogs.
Which two of the following do you think would have the best chance of recovering my losses in 2021?
KXS, XBC, LSPD, SIS.
I already have DSG and SHOP
