Q: Based on available historical data, the above have compounded earnings > 10%. I intend to put these good companies into a RRIF to boost the return of a mostly bond/gic content.

In your opinion would you regard each of the above as a good company that should be able to provide a relatively stable future annual return of 8% to 10% with the exception of a market meltdown. Looking for some reassurance regarding the picks. Thank you.

Q: Hi,
I'm young and have good income, good risk tolerance and no need to withdrawal any of my investment dollars anytime soon. I'm looking for long term growth mostly. Currently I hold the listed stocks, do you see any names that jump out as really bad/ should sell? Is anything really lacking and maybe should be added? Right now everything is held in a tfsa.

Thanks!
Dave

Q: Good day

I will like your assistance on guiding my investment decision. I have read your report on Knight Therapeutics. After Knight has deployed its war chest($736,000,000), you are forecasting earnings per share of $0.59, plus the EPS for the last quarterly report of 0.06$. If earnings grow at 15% per year for the next 5 years, then in 2022, EPS will be :

2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022

$0.65 $0.75 $0.86 $0.99 $1.14 $1.31

I am assuming cash is deployed this year, the share count remains constant and investors in 2022 are willing to pay 15 times EPS. If this scenario holds, then in 2022, the share price should trade at around $20 (1.31 X 15). At current price ($10.60), this scenario would result in an annual rate of return for the next five years of 13.1%. Are you comfortable with my scenario or would you change some of my parameters ?

Q: I have half positions in CCL.B, ZCL, GSY,ECI and PHO; full positions in SIS,KXS,SHOP,PBH and GUD. Growth from 'good' companies is my only consideration and I have a 10 year timeline. These companies are part of the growth portion of a balanced portfolio.
Please provide guidance on the following 2 questions:
Could you rank my half position companies with growth potential as the sole criterion.
Is it reasonable to increase one's stake beyond a full position in any company that has excellent future prospects? If yes, please rank my full position companies based on growth potential.
Thanks for your excellent service, as always!

Q: I have listed the small/med/cap companies I have on my watch list and am seeking your advise as to which three companies you would recommend my investing in from this list. (or some other that I have not listed) Many of these companies you have recommended on BNN. I look forward to your answer.

Q: 2 questions on GUD:
* Recent report states " GUD also invests in funds, which have substantial assets under management in the healthcare sector..." What type of funds, private equity or mutual, and how major is this part of their business?
* Your models have 3 and 6% positions in this name, my weight is 2.5% and I'm wondering what is a suitable number, though I would be comfortable up to 5%. I am retired and it is presently my only health care stock.
Thanks, J.

Q: i am a bit surprised on the price action of knight. your membership is huge, on april 1 you released a new report on knight giving it an A-, added it to your balanced equity portfolio-- it was already in your growth portfolio, you are aske numerous questions weekly on knight and based on your answers i have to assume it is your single favorite stock or at least right up there with constellation and a few others. and yet the stock has trended down all week, does knight have a large short position, is something going on i do not know, can you comment. dave

Q: Assuming no investment boundaries what so ever (i.e. risk tolerance, time horizon, diversification, loss of principle, etc) and you wanted to invest a large but comfortable amount of money in one company for a "go big or go home" result which company would you invest in?

Q: Your updated report on Knight Therapeutics gives six A+ ratings and one A. Did you arrive at an A- overall rating due to management risk concerning CEO Goodman's possible health issues? With the present management team, is there eventually a possibility that his departure, for whatever reason, would not diminish the company due to existing talent?
How likely is it that Endo would sell Paladin to Knight? Is that not the ultimate embarrassment - selling a company for which you paid a fortune - for a song?
Thanks.
