Q: I am having difficulty finding industrial and consumer defensive stocks that have decent yields and security. I suppose this is because they doing well right now. Do you have any suggestions? I am looking for stability in economic downturn, while offering a reasonable yield and dividend growth.

Q: Hello I have been watching PBH slowly go down every day for the last little while and was wondering what news is out there causing this? I have found none. I own this in a well diversified RRSP account and have a 40+% gain on my position and I am wondering if I should sell to take the gains and move onto something else?. How do the earnings estimates look for August 13th? Thank you for the great service and advice.

Q: Howdy!
I am slowly repositioning the Canadian equity portion of my RRSP portfolio to emulate your Balanced Equity Portfolio.
About 27% of my portfolio is sitting on cash right now; I do not yet own the listed companies - Are they all good to buy today? Or please rank them in order of value for purchase today versus perhaps holding off a quarter or two.
Thank you

Q: I am a 67 year old male pensioner with a limited income stream from CPP/Old Age and non-reg. and RSP funds(about 20 equity positions and a 27 % cash position).

At present I am very under invested in my TFSA and am about to transfer available non-reg. cash funds into my TFSA in order to maximize my contribution room. What would be your top ideas be in 'risk' and non-risk/safer equity positions?

Thanks so much,

Q: Since it's recent run WSP has become about 3.2% of my portfolio I am thinking of moving some funds to PBH which is 2%. Looking at your company data the earnings growth projected for PBH is 35% whereas WSP is 6.6%. Based on the analyst median prices for each the return from todays price would be WSP -4.93%
and PBH 16.9%. It would appear that PBH has better potential over the coming year however WSP's price performance has been much stronger over the short term (certainly not over a 3yr period).

Would you make the switch? If so which factor would carry more weight: balancing the portfolio, projected return, or price momentum?

Many thanks.

Mike

Q: It's getting a little scary to see such huge profits in my portfolio (Cash, TFSA, RRIF). I know you are flexible about percentages, so I'd like your opinion on whether to reduce the following equities and by how much?

SIS 7% ; BABA 6% ; NVDA 9%; SHOP 8% ; ALGN 6% ; DOL 9% ; PBH 9%.
Many thanks for all your thoughtful advice.
