Q: For new TFSA money this year what are your top 6-7 picks within your balanced portfolio as of today?

Q: As a dividend growth investor I'm looking for one more (non-financial) growth company to add to my group that already includes ATD and CNR. I've done a side-by-side comparison of the following three outlining concerns for each:

FSV - Reasonable debt levels. In a recession, perhaps the strongest of the three (?), but always expensive.

SJ - Arguably a bit of a moat, reasonable debt. But by already owning CNR, does it make sense to own a company whose business includes railway ties?

DOO - Great growth, nice dividend growth, and very attractive moat. But what about that debt ?...and in a recession who is going to buy those "toys" ?

Not looking for personal advice, but I would welcome any comments on the concerns I've mentioned. Thanks.

I've sold my house and moved overseas; I will return in about 3-4 years and may need to buy a new home at that time.

I have about $700K I'd like to invest while I'm overseas.

Can you suggest some dividend stocks to hold while I'm overseas, that I'd be able to liquidate to sell to buy a new home when I return in 3-4 years?

Q: As i get older i am always thinking about reducing risk in a reasonable way. I have about 2 per cent of my portfolio in pbh. I know it is a smaller company and i have been thinking about taking a cap gain hit to transfer to atd. I was wondering how you would compare these two, rather than by size alone

Q: I currently own Brookfield Corp Preferred Share, BN.PF.A.
And I'm wondering whether I should hold on to it. It has a dividend yield of 6.31%, but I'm interested in knowing where you see the share price going. Or perhaps you can recommend something with better prospects at this point in the cycle.
