Q: Doing a year end review of all of my holdings. I would like to reduce my position in several stocks (or eliminate entirely in the case of HR.UN and CPH) in order to raise some cash for increasing my position in several other holdings. Fairly large question, so I will divide it into 2, this for the potential reductions and a further question about the potential adds. Would you please rank these stocks in the order you would reduce or eliminate to raise some cash, starting with the one you would be most inclined to reduce/eliminate. Sector, or large cap/small cap not a concern, as I have a broadly diversified portfolio with a lot (too many, really) of names. Thank you for this, and also for the very good service. My 1st year as a client, and I will certainly be renewing. I have recommended the site to a few friends who also do investing.

Q: Thanks to your excellent recommendations 2020 has been a record year for my family’s portfolio. Thank-You.
However, I feel like I need to consolidate some of the tech companies I own so when their prices rise I will have more torque. Which of the above companies would you suggest I merge, drop, or even add? Growth is my only objective.
Enjoy the holidays.

Q: Hello Peter,
I have to choose between PHO and XBC for starting a new position. Which one would you recommend for the TFSA?
Also what do you think about replacing OTEX with the 2nd choice from above?
Appreciate your opinion as always.
Regards

Q: Hi there
When you took ENGH out of model portfolio I bought OTEX which has outperformed it by quite a bit in the last 3 years. I still really like ENGH too and it has come off quite a bit lately. I am wondering looking out another 3 years which you would prefer, in terms of current valuation and prospects, if you could just buy one of these stocks. And your rationale.

Much thanks

Stuart

Q: Good day,
I have built my daughter's RRSP with your wise direction. She is up 15 to 25% on BAM;EMA;FTS;L;OTEX;RY; BEP and RBF 1030.(My choice) Wonderful. Thank you. We are down in descending order on ENB;CSH;BCE and MFC.

Overweight in Utilities and Financials but okay with that.

Would you add to the latter group? Add any new ones.

Looking forward to Peter on BBN Tuesday.

Long term 25 years+. Many thanks!

Q: These four fine companies are all RSI oversold at present. I know you like all of them, or have, and am wondering if they could be considered strong buys at these levels ( for long term holders) or whether best to wait and see what the coming weeks bring us all. What order of priority would you give them for current investment? BTW, thanks for the consistently calm and perspective-driven approach you take in your advice.

Q: What are your thoughts about these companies, aiming for dividend growth and capital apreciation. Do you suggests any alternatives with similar strategy and sector?

Q: I have held these companies for about a year and have basically broken even. Being retired now and partly relying on dividend income, would it be a good move to sell these 2 companies and invest in other blue chip dividend payers and forego possible capital appreciation in these stocks. It does seem to me that these 2 companies have languished compared to my other tech exposures. What 3 or 4 dividend payers would you recommend for stable dividend and increases and some growth potential.
Thanks, as always, for your informed input.

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team,

In our combined portfolio, we own the following Technology stocks: CSU, ENGH, KXS, and OTEX. Since we hold OTEX in several different accounts within the portfolio, we were considering selling some OTEX and use the proceeds to buy some ABT. Would you be OK with such a move, or is ABT too expensive at the moment, since its RSI indicates that it may be slightly overbought? As always, your advice determines our course of action.

Q: I have held a position in OTEX for some time, and have a moderate gain, but I was wondering if it would be prudent to swap out my OTEX for CSU. I have losses against which I can neutralize my gain, so tax implications are not a prominent factor. Both are good companies, with the reputation of CSU being quite extraordinary. I have decent exposure to technology, and I don't feel that simply adding to it by purchasing CSU through selling off an investment in another category would be as prudent as keeping within my current allocations. I would appreciate any thoughts you could share with me. Thanks so much!

Q: I am looking to add to my Tech Sector - I currently have AAPL, MSFT, CSCO ( in RRSP ) and OTEX - I am thinking about buying some GOOG ( in our TFSA accounts ) to complement the above - would that be something you would do OR would you add to the existing positions. Appreciate you comment.
Thanks

Q: Please rank these stocks. Are they at a level that they could be bought today. For your highest ranked stock, why do you rank it higher than the others
