Q: Hi Peter and Staff

If we end up in a longer (say 1-2 year recession) can you provide any comments as to which of the following could suffer more from vacancies or unpaid rent based on their tenants ?

GRT.UN, DIR.UN, SMU.UN

Thanks for all you do
Dennis

Q: Hello 5i,
I have owned CSH.UN for about 18 months, am getting frustrated by the lack of growth.
Am after a REIT for income in RRIF. Am considering SIA & GRT.UN as possible replacements. Will be a long time hold, am after a decent yield with some growth possibilities. What are your thoughts including any other alternatives in the space.
Thanks as always for your advice !
Steve

Q: Good Day Team,
Presently I have no REITSs in my portfolio, so hoping to add some.
What is the best step to take?
Put equal amounts in all 6 stocks listed or put in priority order with certain percentage in each. I have $5000. to invest in REITs.
Secondly, what order would you put them in, from best to the lowest.
Lastly, is there any REIT that you would change or add that may be better.
Please use extra credits as needed.
Thank You,
John G.

Q: Just to round out my portfolio a little I hold 2 REITs - CAR.UN and GRT.UN. It seems the whole REIT sector has been uneventful this year. With these two I'm above water but other than collecting the monthly payouts, there have been no growth.

Do you think the rate cut in the U.S. should/will give this sector a boost? I'm thinking about flipping these two REITs for something that represents a better balance between yield and growth (suggestion if any). Your recommendations/opinions are much welcomed. Thanks.

Q: Considering the recent market volatility and dovish tone from central banks, I would like to increase my exposure to REITs sector for some consistent income. Among the different REIT sectors, I am more lean towards to the Industrial sector, and currently looking to deploy some money into one of the names mentioned above. Any preference? Thanks. Tim

Q: Good Afternoon,
I am a very diversified investor. having stock in almost every sector and not over invested in each sector. In the sector of real estate I am only 5% invested and I am looking to add one stock out the 5 that I have mentioned. I understand that BRE is more of a service company in real estate but it is still class in the real estate sector. Can you recommend me which one of the 5 should I invest in?
Thank You.
