Q: Any view on New Dawn Mining ( ND ) on the TSX?.....producing gold mine in Zimbabwe....political risk high obviously but how would you say their production/reserves etc stack up vs other juniors ?

Q: Hi Peter & 5i, thanks for your answers to my previous questions. I have Canadian petroleum producer investments that keep me interested in the commodity price movements for natgas and oil. My direct brokerage site conveniently displays the NyMEx Gas price and the WTI crude - somewhat more relevant than the price on Mars but still not exactly what I need. I follow AECO gas via the NGX site. But I haven't found a good way to monitor Canadian crude prices and what I'd really like is someplace that charts Canadian crude (or various grades of Cdn crude) against the WTI so I can easily monitor the Cdn/WTI spread trends. Can you direct me to anything useful on that? Thanks!

Q: My question is re Stantec (SN). My portfolio is overweight small cap, profitable, dividend paying, thinly traded companies, and I am comfortable with that. When I read your report on Stantec in Feb (price was 30.15 at the time), it sounded like my kind of stock. I eventually bought a few hundred shares, ACB 30.55. Since then the stock has slowly, but consistently lost value, so that I am now down about 10%, which is my warning sign. Do you have an opinion why the stock seems to be out of favour, and whether I should hold, or get rid of it at this time. Thanks.

Q: hi Peter and staff , I am hearing from different analysts that various governments have and will continue to print money. I am mostly in cash and I have been wondering how I can protect my savings if there is inflation leading to devaluing our currency . But if this is happening how are interest rates being kept so low. What would you recommend especially with high valuation on alot of dividend paying stocks. I appreciate your help.

Q: hi peter, i have over $100,000 in a rrsp mutual fund with a bank. investment is their choice. not doing as good as i would like. what can i invest in within the rrsp myself until i can take my money out a bit at a time due to tax,s. thankyou

Q: hi peter, i have just over $100,000 to invest. at the moment i am buying stock through td and i pay $29.00 for every purchase and sell. is there a less expensive way to buy and sell that is safe. should i buy bonds and stocks, or stay with dividend stacks.

Q: Peter....wow...page FP8(JULY14) really is an ad for 5iRESEARCH....and conflict free advice...what with your placement beside ETF GUY plugging ETF's from an ETF firm.... but Jain's data does seem sound. why should I stay with active managed funds?...............again....what are the material downsides to a large broad based index ETF over the long term.... doesn't an INDEX FUND or INDEX ETF still have all the structural trading balancing concerns as outlined in your column?

Q: Hello Peter, Do you have any information you could share regarding Largo (LGO). Seems like they have their financing done, they have and off-take agreement for the Vanadium, and Brazil seems like a good country to be in for mining. They bumped up about 20 percent last Friday but doubt if that means much. I suspect the main risk is whether the management team has the skills to pull off the difficult task of building a mining operation. Do you know these guys at all? Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter,

I have a small portfolio which for some reason has become heavily weighted in resource stocks. This portfolio includes MMT, TOL, LEG, ELD, FVI, KGN, ZNGA and AM. I am stuck with some of these because they are down in some cases more than 50%. MMT is the only one where I am in the green. Do you think I should reduce some positions even at a loss and replace them with non-resource stocks or hold on and sell on strength. Thanks
