Q: Just an observation: I have never seen more excitement or anticipation for a new product ( rivalling apple phones etc) than for your model portfolio update and the new dividend portfolio.
I hope the team recognizes this and is proud of what has been achieved in such a short period of time.
Clearly you have many enthusiastic and happy customers and raving fans.
Congratulations. And thank you for your superb service.
Hope you can make time to smell the roses - even if it is chasing Peter up the back roads of K-W on a bike.

Q: Like others I am finding your service very informative. I bought DHX Media a couple of months ago based on what I read here and am now down a dollar a share despite several media releases that appeared to be good news. Any new thoughts on this company?

Q: Badger Daylighting is on fire the past week or so... basically since their last earnings report. I'm basically at 6% portfolio weighting and am getting closer and closer to having the diversificaiton and similar picks to the model portfolio. Any thoughts on trimming a little here? I'd actually like to let it run as I believe in the need for BAD's product and can see them being used more and more in Industry and even around my home town here in Calgary which tells me they are growing really well. I also see the long term need for their product as much infrustructure needs to be renewed without destroying it.

Your thoughts would be appreciated! Keep up the good work!

Q: Just wondering if you have any thoughts on ICP? I have held it for some time now and have taken a loss. I am considering selling it. Thank-you!

Q: I have a certain amount of money to invest and want to take advantage of the diversification of both portfolios.

Save for the repeated companies, do you suggest a 50 - 50 split between the two or should we put more in the equity portfolio versus the fixed income. I was thinking of investing 50k with 40k going toward the equity and 10k to the fixed income.

Q: Peter, Do you agree with borrowing to invest (non registered account) by using your home equity, if you have little to no debt? If I can borrow at 3% as long as I generate 4% in dividends I should stay cash neutral after taxes. To minimize taxes the lower income spouse would take out the loan and record the income. Over a 10 year period I should come out ahead once capital gains are added. All holdings would be high quality dividend growers. Are there any flaws to this strategy?

Q: Hi Peter: I very much appreciate what 5i is providing and I think it is such a help to small potatoes like me. Thank you.
One thing I have noticed is that several of your profiled companies are regularly appearing on analysts top picks. Would it be that they also quietly looking to 5i to provide research. Shame on them.

Q: Hi Peter and Team,

Thanks for the new income portfolio and updates to the equity portfolio.

I'd like to take positions in the income portfolio and already own the highest rated stocks in the 5i equity portfolio, with a few others you've recommended, in my equity portfolio.

What do you advise if I own, say BNS, which is in the 5i equity portfolio and wish to add the new picks from the income portfolio - double up on BNS or just not buy it for the income portfolio?

Also, you made a few changes to the equity portfolio. That implies you're advising members to sell the stocks that were dropped and replace them with the new ones. Have you lost faith in the dropped companies or is this a rotation of some kind?

Thank you. Michael

Q: I have invested in your model portfolio and now want to also put 20% in your income portfolio. But since there's overlap in many of the companies I'm not sure how to figure out the allocation.

Q: Thank you Peter and good crew. I asked a question Re BOX.un. The answer provided was very worthwhile. My one concern was that I had hoped to hear some news re. whether the vacancy situation in the N.Y office buildings had been addressed. Could you please advise. Thank you,

Q: I already have AVO and doing very good as well as a small position in CMI and looking to buy another Technology co. but cannot decide between ESL & SYZ. Both look very good. What would you suggest and why. Good appreciation with less risk would be best right now. ESL has taken a substantial downturn and SYZ on the financing so I am undecided on what to buy, or would you suggest another from your list.

Thanks, Doug

Thanks

Q: peter, I am curious as to why you will not do a growth portfolio. your equity portfolio is fantastic but your income portfolio with targeted returns of 5-7 per cent would I think have little interest to most of your subscribers unless you are retired. even though I am retired i still have zero interest in the income portfolio but a growth portfolio would be something I think a majority of your subscribers would want, especially the subscribers under 50. will you do a growth portfolio. dave
