Q: Hi Peter and Ryan
I have held HSBC for several years and am down about 40%. It is in a registered account and provides a good dividend. I have some US cash in the account and am considering adding to it. Do you think the dividend is sustainable?Do you think this is a worthwhile move? I realize you don't cover ADRs but your opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all you do.

Q: I was just looking at the fundamentals provided by my on-line service CIBC Investors Edge for this company: when I look at EPS last 4 Qt it shows just over $5.00; yet, on a TTM EPS basis it shows -300%+ growth, debt to equity over 3X and negative ROE. How can you make $5.00 per share and have negative ROE: especially, when they have been making money and on a cash basis generating a ton of cash? What am I missing and is this a good stock to hold for a recovery??

Q: Hi,I will retire in six months so will need income and security, which do not always go hand and hand.
I have a 5% position in bam.a,but was thinking of just switching to bip.un for the higher yield. Do you feel bip.un is secure enough on its own,or would you go say, 3% of each?
Also do you have two or three go to names that have 3-4% yields for the 5+ year time frame.
Always seem to have a hard time not to panic sell when the markets or one of my stocks are down over 20%.Should my discipline always be to hang-on if I have quality stocks?
Thanks,great work.

Q: RE: Spyglass Resources and Parallel Energy Trust. Both of these small oil and gas producers appear to be in receivership, but news of their current status is hard to come by. Do you have any Idea if there is a possibility of any recovery for investors? Spyglass resources has been relisted as SGLRF I believe.

Q: I realize that you do not specialize in US stocks, but the "generic" behavior of this stock over the past week puzzles me. On May 18, it was announced that LKQ Corp. would be included in the S&P 500 index. I expected that this would be very good for the share price and that it should rise immediately upon the news (as index funds would have to purchase it). However, following the announcement the share price actually declined by several percent over the rest of the week. Do you have any explanation for such behavior?

Thanks!
