Q: Could you give your opinion on Cascade please
Q: What are the difference in listing requirements between the TSX and the TSX-V other than cost and possibly prestige. I have looked at the reports and releases put out by a TSX-V listed company, Sylogist, and can't really see much difference between what it puts out and what a TSX listed company, Intrinsyc Tech, puts out. Thanks

Q: Hello 5i team,
I bought these 2 stocks roughly 3.5 years back. Vale was bought at $13 and slx was bought at $49. Both are picking up momentum and my question is whether I should get out when they approach my entry price and go with something else. slx is currently at $45 and vale at $12. I am more reluctant to part with slx since it covers the steel space but vale has a huge depth.
Or should I stay in and see how much they can appreciate?
Thanks,
Andrew

Q: Hi 5i
Have about 12k cash in TFSA and considering CSU @$589. However, this would only get me 20 shares. Is it worthwhile to own so few? Secondly, is it costly to CSU to have shareholders with far less than board lot?
Thanks
Greg

Q: Greetings: since your January report on FSV the company has posted quarterly and full year 2016. The stock responded well. Can you comment on your prior concerns about valuation? They raised dividend, so I assume they are confident in the future. I have owned it since before the spinoff and am up over 100%. My position is still less than 5% because I sold Colliers, which was half of my original position, but I am even more concerned about valuation now since the rise in share price. Should I be? Just wondering if it is time to move on, but reluctant to sell winner. Thanks
Q: What is your opinion of Veresen? Thanks.
Q: I am thinking of investing in this company. Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Inc. designs, manufactures, and markets capital equipment, related spare parts, and packaging materials used to assemble semiconductor devices. The Company also services, maintains, repairs, and upgrades assembly equipment. What would your view be on this company.
Q: I have read of a strategy called "Doubling the Dow" in which something like Powershares ultra Mid cap MVV is used.
I know that there are dangers in this strategy. But, it may be better than buying on margin, because you don't loose as much, if it goes down as you would with margin.
So, the question is what you think of this strategy. and are there etf's for the TSX that could be used for the strategy in canada?
thanks

Q: What are your thoughts on U.S. steel given the anticipated infrastructure spend under Trump's administration? I'm looking at NUE, AKS and X.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: I am down 40% & 88% respectively on these two energy stocks. Should I continue to be patient in hopes of an eventual rebound or take my lumps and deploy what dollars are left into another sector that will produce some possible upside and yield.
I also hold TRP and KMI for cotinued sector balance in the portfolio.
Thanks 5i

Q: Thoughts on Alta gas valuation and stability of dividend. I only have a half position of Raging River. I am going to pull the trigger and take a full position. Would you add AlA at this time or recommend another. I'm open to risk and have a time frame of 5 years plus.
Q: I would like your opinion on Grande West Transportation Group (BUS). I often see their Vicinity buses zipping around Greater Victoria and their stock has a great chart and reasonable valuation. Any reason not to buy some shares (apart from small size)?
Q: Greenspace reported after the close on Mon. Feb. 13. Could you please give your opinion of its results. All things being equal how do you think this stock will perform over the next one to two years? Any other thoughts on this stock would be appreciated. Thank you, Ian

Q: Hello 5i. I really enjoy reading the questions on a daily basis and consider your replies VALUABLE information. So much so I recently renewed my membership.
I have held RDM corp for the past 3 years and it has been a steady, low volatility stock. After todays buyout news, I am considering selling and putting the cash into another company in the same space. Do you think TNC is a good replacement? It seems expensive compared to RC.
Thank you.

iShares 1-5 Year Laddered Government Bond Index ETF (CLF)
Q: The high markets seem poised for a correction, do you think moving money into CLF, CBO, or any other bond ETF is a good way to go. Maybe ride out the next few months and move back into equities after a correction has taken place? Thanks.
Q: hi there,
This stock seems to be on a steady upward trajectory but i cannot find any news. Trading at 38X seems a bit overdone based on the growth forecast. Your comments. I own both CCL and Richards. Which would you prefer

Q: With Middlefield Group merging Yieldplus Fund with Mint Fund, mid.un, and telling Yiieldplus holders they get higher yield, lower fees and enhanced liquidity- what do Mint holders get out of this merger?

Q: Looking to spread my Technology investments into US$ shares in one of these 3 positions. All seem to be doing extremely well and appear quite similar to each other. Share prices go from $128-$52-$17 and psychologically I have an aversion to paying over $100/share (I know there is no rational to that).
Would appreciate your analysis of these 3 and recommendation or any others in this arena.
thx
