Q: I have an old small position in Precision Drilling, which I can sell for a tax loss. I have been suffering with this small position so long, now, that I wouldn't like to sell it just when it pops! Any idea what I can watch as indicators regarding where the stock might go in the period of a month? And what would be a suitable placeholder substitute, which might have the same ability to bounce as PD under favourable circumstances?
thanks
thanks
Q: Could you provide 5 names to consider for a TFSA account for a 'retired' 60+ with no company pension?
Thanks,
Thanks,
Q: With some of the advance news coming out re the content of the upcoming throne speech, what impact will the speech itself have on the TSX, and what further impact will implementing the policies have on the TSX should this government remain in power. Is there anything proactive an investor should be doing to protect their portfolio for this? Thanks
Q: In response to Roy's question on Sept 11 you stated in part "earnings are expected to bounce in 2021 by up to 50%". I couldn't find any specific information supporting that position in the MD&A accompanying recent annual & quarterly results, other than management's generic confidence in increasing revenues once the pandemic impacts are over (whenever that is!) Have you any other specific information?
Q: Thoughts on the SnowFlake Ipo? thank you
Q: If I purchase a foreign company that pays a dividend, would the interest cost on borrowed money be tax deductible?
Q: greetings - i have owned this for about 5 years and the stock has really not done much other than increase dividends although still at a relatively low level (1.79%). Your thoughts on switching this out for either higher dividend paying stock or one with growth and a smaller dividend. Near retirement so....
Q: I would like your opinion on Cargojet, due to the pandemic with all the extra cargo that has to be delivered. Market call was talking about the vaccines, when they approved, that will have to be delivered through out the world.
With everybody shopping online, it has to be delivered somehow.
Your thoughts.
Thanks very much

Q: Any thoughts on Giga Metals and their proposed relationship with Tesla? Does Giga's management and board have a good history of developing mines and do they have a adequate level of insider ownership? Any thoughts you have would be appreciated. I know the stock is high risk.

Jim

Q: What's the best way to take advantage of the likely infrastructure spending in the US, post election. Thanks.
Q: Hello,
At what price would the warrants for PSTH need to be purchased to have them make sense vs buying common shares? I understood the warrants to be equal to 1/9 of a common share. At present time, the PSTH shares are at 21.97 and the warrants (PSTH.WS) are at 7.60. How would you compute when to buy shares vs. warrants? Part 2 of the question would be when and how does PSTH.WS become common shares?

Q: What cruise line would be best to pick up at this time. Or is there an etf that may a better play? Thx James
Q: I have held a position in OTEX for some time, and have a moderate gain, but I was wondering if it would be prudent to swap out my OTEX for CSU. I have losses against which I can neutralize my gain, so tax implications are not a prominent factor. Both are good companies, with the reputation of CSU being quite extraordinary. I have decent exposure to technology, and I don't feel that simply adding to it by purchasing CSU through selling off an investment in another category would be as prudent as keeping within my current allocations. I would appreciate any thoughts you could share with me. Thanks so much!
Q: Hi group thinking of buying CJT what do you think - Virus spread = more staying home = more on line buying = more income for CJT what's your thoughts on this thanks

Q: Hello 5i team,
Thank you for your text on Nuvei. I would like a few more information. Who are their main competitors? What is their competitive advantage over their competitors that would make potential clients switch payment system? Are clients sticky once they become client? At what p/s and p/ebitda multiple would you be buyer?
Thank you for your collaboration, Eric

Q: Over the past 4 quarters, AFN have repeatedly increased their estimate of the cost of "rework" on two specific contracts from $7 to $10 to $14 and now to $20 million. Have you any information on the magnitude, relative to these past equipment and estimate failures, of last Friday's failure of their North Vancouver commercial installation? The market sure doesn't seem to like it. Is it likely a over-reaction, or the proverbial back-breaking straw?
Q: WELL is moving up nicely last few days and again today. Any idea what is driving this? Thanks John
