Q: A guest on BNN commented that BN.ca requires low interest rates to do well and didn't recommend holding the stock.
The stock hasn't done well since the BN/ Bam spin out. What is 5i's opinion. Do you think there is further down side, or languish at the current price or price appreciation.
There was a common assumption that with the stock spin out that it would unlock value. Instead tanked. Buy sell or hold.
Thanks for your expertise.

Global X Cash Maximizer Corporate Class ETF (HSAV)
-
Global X USD Cash Maximizer Corporate Class ETF (HSUV.U)
Q: I am interested in both of these ETFs to replace PSA as my savings account. My understanding is that rather than the distributions being taxed as interest as in the PSA the earnings are reinvested and NAV increases accordingly and when I need money sales of units at higher prices are taxed as Capital Gains.
When reading the Horizons website both of these ETFs have suspended sales of new subscriptions. As these ETFs continue to trade am I correct that this will result in market prices being increasingly inflated over NAV. The website also goes on to say that it does not recommend purchasing units when price exceeds NAV.
Can u clarify what this all means and am I ok to purchase these ETFs to use as a savings account to place temporary excess funds.

Q: Hi 5i and Peter,
In a show down between DSG and TRI which company would you pick for the largest overall return for the next 5 - 10 years. I like both companies and having a tough time deciding. The past 5 years their CAGR share price (including TRI's dividend) has been DSG - 22.6% and TRI - 24.3%.

Q: Hi 5i,
In Sept 22 you gave NFI a "B" rating. You commented that it is a little on the risky side.
Do you think the Balance Sheet and Cash Flow are strong enough for an investment in their convertible debenture (NFI.DB) which is due in 2027? I realize their would be no conversion possibility with the bond.
Thanks for your opinion on NFI.
John

Q: Hi,
I searched your questions database and couldn't find anything related to this equity. I know it's small cap but it has had a fascinating roller coaster history. I recently purchased it. Do you see any upside?

Q: In a prior question you mentioned that Goeasy's "funding may slow down or cost more if investors get nervous in general, but it can't really experience a 'run' on current funding like a small bank can". I am trying to understand why Goeasy can't experience a 'run'. What is different with this company? You had also mentioned that it has a different funding base. Thank You.
