Q: I own AGU for income, but am concerned with the POT merger. Would either CHE>UN or RUS be a better replacement for income and if so which one do you prefer? Thanks

Q: Hi Peter &Ryan
I am currently sitting on about 30% cash as I just had a pref called on the US side .
Would you sit on cash right now or jump back into the market and if so could I have some names of Can. domiciled companies that trade in US $.
The balance of my porfoilo is reasonably balanced so I could add to any sector.
I am looking for div stocks and capital preservation over growth.
Kind Regards
Stan

Q: Greetings, Peter & Co.
I currently hold AGT at a profit. I would like to replace it with another agriculture stock, small cap or mid cap, that has some growth and some dividend. Failing this, I would consider a moderate sized tech company that meets these criteria.
With appreciation,
Ed

Q: Are ECI,AGU & AW.UN buyable at today's prices? ECI & AGU are below their 200dma & AW.un is at its 200dma. Would you go for full positions? Thanks
Q: Please provide your opinion on AGU after latest results. Is it still a keeper for growth and income? Is full position still appropriate?
Thanks for awesome service.
Thanks for awesome service.
Q: Good day all. I'm noticing increasing activity in the agricultural sector. Do you see an upswing coming for the industry, and what name or two would you suggest owning to participate?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
Q: Can I get your current thoughts on AGU? Is this a good time to initiate a position?
- Methanex Corporation (MX)
- Boyd Group Income Fund (BYD.UN)
- Agrium Inc. (AGU)
- Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. (ATD)
Q: These four companies are on my watch list. Please list in order of preference for a purchase at this time. Thank you.
Q: Hello Peter and Team
I need to build the material sector of my PF and would appreciate your rating, in order, of Agrium, Stella and Methanex based on today's prices. Looking for long term growth and dividend growth. Thanks for all you do.

Q: I currently own COW at 1% weight and AFN at 2.5% weight. Would you suggest to top up the 2 stocks or would be okay to buy AGU to make the total sector weight up to 5%.The other thought was to sell COW and buy AGU.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Please suggest 5 stocks that you think have a potential catalyst in the next 6-12 months that could result in higher than anticipated returns and indicate what those potential catalysts could be. Not looking for any micro-cap or very high risk suggestions. Thanks, and have a Happy New Year!
Q: What is your outlook on these companies for 2017?
- Ceapro Inc. (CZO)
- Toronto-Dominion Bank (The) (TD)
- Agrium Inc. (AGU)
- B2Gold Corp. (BTO)
- Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (BIP.UN)
Q: Hi Peter,
Any idea why Brookfield Infrastructure partners is going down? I was thinking of taking a full position of 5 % rather than diversifying with Stantec etc. Also, what is the reason for stocks such as Hudbay Minerals and Agrium to continue to go up and is this sustainable? I have noticed the canadian banks and insurance especially TD Bank and Manulife have gone up alot lately. Do you think it is time to trim them as they look over bought. Lastly, can you comment on why Ceapro and B2Gold are taking a hit. The big prediction was gold was going to go much higher after Trump, but all of a sudden, gold continues to experience declines. Thanks very much.

Q: If this deal goes through what would the share price be for the combined companys. Pot get .4 of each share while agr gives 2.23. As of close on aug 9 nyse.
Q: I'm looking for some ag exposure, could you tell me your thoughts on AGU, thoughts on merger, valuation and is today a good entry point.
Q: I modeled my income fund portfolio on the 5IR portfolio. One opening is an AGU position. I am hesitating taking a position because of merger with Potash. Question...what is the down$ide risk of getting into AGU now, in particular to market share price, aka the book value, or is there a substitute TSX name or ETF?
......Thanks......Tom
......Thanks......Tom
Q: I bought AGU for the decent yield in my income portion of my portfolio. Now with the planned merger I am concerned that the new company may have a lower yield and likely be more volatile due to higher potash exposure. If the deal goes through would you be keeping the new shares in the income portfolio?
Q: I have 300 shares in my RRIF at a cost of $129, so I am a little underwater but happy to hold for the dividend. My question is: Potash has already cut its dividend at least once. What do you think will happen to the Agrium dividend after the merger?
Q: I have sold puts on AGU 3 times and they expired worthless and I currently have no possition in AGU either equity or option.
With the current rise in price AGU technicals signal a buy. Given the large price jump and the resulting gap on the charts, would you wait till/if the price settles or would you sell another put on AGU at this level?
Thanks
Sheldon

Q: I would appreciate your thoughts on the rumored merger of AGU & POT as reported this morning on BNN (Aug 30th).
Any recommendations on how to proceed (assuming one does not currently hold either company) but would be willing to open a position depending on your opinion.
Thanks in advance,
Scot
