Q: Q2 results - comments?
Q: Is CEF and CEF.U a good choice as a holding of gold and silver bullion. I realise there are storage costs involved but can you suggest an alternative that also holds the actual metals in storage. Preferably with lower MER than what Sprott collects on CEF at .73%.
An e.t.f. perhaps? Or just go with a solid producer such as AEM and forget bullion.
The maximum 5% holding is for portfolio insurance.
Thank you.

Can you suggest a couple of gold stocks that are real up and comers like KL was a few years ago.
I've purchased NVO @1.9 and NUAG has not hit my price of $1.6.
Your 'growth' suggestions in the segment would be appreciated.
Thanks
Sheldon

Q: Hello folks:
I am very surprised by the paucity of questions on Gold sector, especially when some of the regular BNN experts like Ross Healy and many others in Seeking Alpha seem to think that the support of 1300 plus will hold and Gold's time to shine is finally here.
Your words of wisdom and your top 3 picks for this sector.
Many thanks.

Q: Can you recommend a Canadian dollar etf for gold and a few Canadian stocks that would benefit from an appreciation in gold prices? Thank you.
- Suncor Energy Inc. (SU)
- Sun Life Financial Inc. (SLF)
- Gildan Activewear Inc. (GIL)
- WSP Global Inc. (WSP)
- Parkland Corporation (PKI)
- TFI International Inc. (TFII)
- Western Forest Products Inc. (WEF)
- Agnico Eagle Mines Limited (AEM)
- Magna International Inc. (MG)
- Premium Brands Holdings Corporation (PBH)
Q: I have some extra cash to add to the balanced portfolio. Can you select 3 of these stocks that present the best purchase opportunities at the moment for a long-term hold?
- NFI Group Inc. (NFI)
- Parkland Corporation (PKI)
- Kinaxis Inc. (KXS)
- Agnico Eagle Mines Limited (AEM)

- Pan American Silver Corp. (PAAS)
- Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. (ATD)
- Premium Brands Holdings Corporation (PBH)
- Knight Therapeutics Inc. (GUD)
- Savaria Corporation (SIS)
Q: I own all of these in equal weighting (7% each). Down quite a bit on NFI. Just seeing if I should keep it and give it the long term (10 years) to provide a good return or sell because there is a better company to replace it with for a better long term performance at this point. Any other recommendations as I do have some cash side lined at this point (30%).
Q: On May 2nd you mentioned you considered AEM a "bit safer overall" than KL. Sure its 40% larger but both are large and AEM has a notable amount of debt vs KL who has no debt and a notable amount of cash. Can you elaborate on why you feel AEM is a bit safer?

Long term (15+ years) hold, medium to higher risk, Canadian or U.S. I currently have full positions in CCL.B, TSGI and ATD.B and partial positions in TOY and PBH. Thanks.
Q: Hi team
I hold AEM in my TFSA for awhile, I am down about 17%
it does pay a small dividend
does it make sense to sell and switch over to KL ?
thanks

Q: I own the ETF CGL.C and AEM and just wondering if I really need to own CGL.C.?Looking at the history of this ETF it has not done too much in return and wonder if it would be better to just sell CGL.C and put the proceed into AEM as my weight is not very high in AEM. Both are in a non -registered account. Your thoughts?
Thanks
