Q: I would appreciate your suggestion for two of your favourite stocks right now, in Real Estate and Energy. I was thinking about Tricon ... ??? and ????

This will be for an RRSP Account, in Canadian Currency.

I own Brookfield Renewables (BEP.UN) and Algonquin Power (AQN) already in this account, each roughly 5%. I have no weighting in Energy/Oil/Gas specifically, just in utilities. If adding another company in a similar space is too much weighting, please advise.

Q: With high debt being a concern for all companies, I thought today's news was reasonably positive but it appears that the market disagrees. As always, I would appreciate your analysis.

Tricon Capital Group Inc. (TCN-T) says it has an agreement to sell the portfolio of 14 manufactured housing communities, including its Tricon Lifestyle Communities investment vertical to an institutional investor. "The sale of our TLC manufactured housing communities portfolio represents the next meaningful step along our stated plan to simplify Tricon's business," said Gary Berman, CEO of Tricon Capital. "We intend to use the net proceeds largely to pay down our corporate credit facility, reducing our overall debt level and creating additional flexibility for future investments. Going forward, we will focus our growth efforts on our core investment verticals, where we have a clear path to scale, leadership and attractive long-term returns."

Q: It looks the Cdn $ is heading down. People I follow are thinking .74 cents. Given this, is there hope for my flailing US$ income stocks? Will a lower C$ help the above 3? If not, who would benefit in the income space?

Q: By letting my winners run to overweight positions, while recognizing the importance of overall sector allocations, I am in a constant debate with myself feeling the need to rebalance. My question is regarding 3 sectors with the backdrop of assuming we are in a rising interest rate environment. Currently having a 10% Utility weight, with 0% Real Estate and Telco's, would you suggest trimming Utilities to acquire one or both sectors, if so what names would you suggest? If rates rise faster than expected, will all 3 sectors perform similar ? I watch my portfolio very close, am quite comfortable with higher risk for higher return.

Q: In a 250k investment portfolio we have over 20 stocks. We would like to trim some of the smaller positions and top the others.From larger to smaller holdings HR.UN, GIL, ET, STN, GH,ECN,TCN. 2 to add to, 5 to dispose or 3 and 4. Which would you keep.

Q: 5i. Thanks for heads up on SIA share issue through questions.

While I would like to get into seniors living reit and SIA with discount price seems like a good entry, I do have to sell another reit to do so.

I just picked up TCN (US housing)last week as entry to accumulate over time.
I have held HR (Retail and other) for years.

I like the idea of SIA one day being a take-out and it makes sense.

Would you advocate for a move from one or the other of the aforementioned reits to get into SIA?

Or will they all act similarly into and through 2018?
