Q: I am considering selling my position in TOG and replacing it with ENB. I have held TOG for 3 years, its finally increasing in price ( I am down approx. 13%) and ENB is becoming a more attractive price, with a higher yield. I have equal weighting of 15% in both. Would this be a good decision going forward.
Thank you!
Q: I am considering to re-enter the energy market. Of the four stocks here, CJ, WCP, VET and TOG, how would you rank them in terms of their potential combined returns (growth + dividends, and dividend sustainability). Thanks.
Q: I have held these companies since 2014. Is there hope for any of them of should I sell them? They are in a cash account and I am down more that 50% on all of them.
Q: Hi, I’m getting a little disappointed in oil a gas sector and really do think it is more a liability ,as time and technology eats away at the sector.
I have Tog and Wcp 7% and thinking of selling Tog with a loss of 25%, an putting it in healthcare or Tech.
Would you agree with this switch, and what would you recommend.
Thanks, Brad
Q: I have the above stocks in the energy sector and am at a 7.2% total. I'd like to sell two and increase either my holding in C. Non. Cyclical or Healthcare. Which 2 would you sell and what you you buy?
My question is about smaller dividend paying oil companies. I have referenced Torc, but the question could be about the entire universe of companies. These stocks continue to drift lower, even with the oil price firming in and around $50 USD. My understanding is that most, if not all of these companies can continue to pay dividends and make money if the oil price stays at these prices or higher. What will it require to get investors interested in this sector again?
Q: Hi 5i: I have two oil stocks (RRX and TOG) and two nat gas stocks (BIR and TOU). I want to reduce this to one oil and one nat gas. Which two would you suggest I sell, and why? Thanks again for your great advice.
Q: I took a 5.3% position in VET last January and as of today am down 30%. (My only other oil stock is TOG at 3% weight and down 16%) I like the European holdings and dividend of VET but am getting nervious. I don't think I should buy more while it is on this very long downtrend since I bought it. Do you still like VET? Any hope for a recovery? It seems to be making money at current European prices. Why is the stock treated so badly?
What is your recommendation? I appreciate your thoughts?
Thanks, Dick
Q: Encana has been steadily climbing this month. Is it worth taking a small position?
WCP has held it's own YTD, but not TOG. I am still under by a small %. Should I sell TOG and add to WCP?
Q: My wife's rift has 23 holdings, fairly well diversified. Her biggest losers are: ALA @4.47% dn; 27%;SGY @1.55,dn 45%; TOG@1.97,dn 42%.
I've held these for a number of years now with no turn a round in site.[I manage her acc.] Do I finally dump these now, or continue to hold for the dividends.
The RIFT is primarily made up income stocks and other wise, doing fairly well.
Q: These mostly gas names are down significantly lately, and yet Gas is mostly holding a tight range. Are the earnings expected to be down significantly for Nat gas companies
Q: I am retired living off my income from dividends.
I am down approx. 30% in each of these energy stocks. I am considering averaging down in WCP, TOG and CPG. I am aware that I am betting on O&G recovering somewhat, but the prices look attractive. Can you rate from best to worst? Are there any red flags on the balance sheets of the three?
I am considering selling HSE as they cut the dividend. Would you recommend I put the proceeds into the best of the other 3? Or invest in a more stable integrated such as SU?
Q: Hi,I have tog and wcp now,and was thinking of selling tog and buying Rrx for better return, if the oil and gas sector ever turns around. I have about a half position of each.
Is this worth while,or is Tog good enough to keep?
Thank, Brad
Q: Looking to add to my oil exposure. Outlook is 5 years+ for investments. How would you rank these companies today based on valuations if oil would be at $60 down the road.
