Q: Bad price movement aside. What do you think about Russell metals? Why has it come off so much from its 2014 price level? I believe they provide value added steel products, with the cost of their inputs coming down shouldn't that be good for them? How safe is the dividend?

Q: Wondering how you interpret their latest results. They seem quite tied to the oil industry and with capx down across the board, do you see growth and continued dividend payments?
Thanks.

Q: What do you think about Russel Metals at the current price. Like most stocks with energy exposure, it is down, but wondering about your opinion on a constant dividend and price upside.
Thanks

Q: Hello.
What would be the impact to Russel Metals if they experienced a decrease in demand for their Energy Products sector? Do you think management would 'adjust' well? Do you see this as a real risk?
Looking at their annual reports & their 3 main segments from 2005 to 2014, revenue has declined from Metals Service and Steel Distributions, while revenue from Energy Products has increased steadily from 23% of revenue in 2005 to 46% in 2014 (Q1-Q3).
Regards, David

Q: hi Peter and team
I bought some Russell Metals RUS in early January and it has dropped almost 9%. Has the story changed on this one or is it the January general malaise in the market.
Thanks
Kathy

Q: Hi Peter and team,
I am enjoying your service very much and learning a lot. My portfolio is lacking in the Manufacturing sector - could you please advise on a good buy that also offers a nice dividend. Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter
If you had to pick 2 or 3 dividend growth stocks with a very nice yield, like 7.0% or higher, what would they be?
Thanks,
Cam

Q: I've been checking my sector weighting and find that I'm over weight in financial sector if I include my REIT's. I'm underweight in industrials and materials although I'm not sure I have categorized my stocks correctly. Is there a website that categorizes which stocks are in which sector? I'm thinking of selling some REITs and buying TCK.B and RUS to even things out. Does that actually do what I'm trying to do? If not would please suggest other stocks I should look at.
Thank you for your great service over the last year. I'm looking forward to following your reports and Q&A in the New Year.

Q: Hi Peter and Team,
Thanks for the on-going terrific insights and stock suggestions.
Given the aging infrastructure issues (pipes, electricity etc) that seems to be facing all governments and in particular the Ontario government can you suggest some ideas (which stocks are best positioned to profit over the next many many years)
Happy Holidays to everybody at 5iresearch and keep up the great work in 2014!

Q: I am looking for 2 of your best buys in the industrial sector at this time. I presently own Stantec and Goodfellows. My weighting in the sector is only 5.6%. Also what would you recommend for a weighting in the industrials of your overall portfolio?
Thank you for the great service.

Q: Peter; My RUS position is up to 6% and I am thinking of trimming it back and adding to my HLP.UN which is at 4.8%. Is this a reasonable trade? Thanks. Rod
Q: Peter; Is the price of " rebar" relative to the earnings of RUS? Thanks. Rod

Q: May I please have 5i's opinion of Russel Metals vs. Vicwest for a 2-3 yr. hold. If you're not keen on either of these, could you provide another name(s) in the same sector. I require dividends for income. Many thanks, John.
Q: Pete, could I have your opinion on Russel Metals please. Looking for stable long term yield. Thanks Ken
