Q: Peter and Team,
Many thanks for your great service. Despite a full position in GUD I have an order in for more at $8 if it gets back there and bounces. To each his own but I like the idea of a cash-like holding that has a healthy upside potential with a big cash footing; especially one that isn't wasteful and one you support. Do any other companies have similar situations ? Paul

Q: The recent merger of these two companies has condensed riddells holdings of TET under one umbrella now.Along with the purchase of apache properties this is an interesting transaction done near the lows of oil market prices.Whats your take on the longer term potential results of this transaction and would you purchase a full position at current prices.? txs adam

Q: I just saw my daughter's TFSA and she is down 31%, with the above stocks well in the negative. The only positive stocks were the 3 we recommended to her from 5-I; CGX, PHO and SIS! Would you recommend selling these stocks and moving on? If so, any suggestions would be welcome. She has a cash balance in the account of 9,000.00 and she is down around 11,500.00 at the moment. Thanks for any help you can provide. We have been very pleased with our progress since we joined 5-I! Lesley
Q: Good morning. Paramount's valuations are very low. I haven't found any recent news. Is it worth considering? Would appreciate any info. Thanks.

Q: The above lists my oil and gas investments. In addition I have drilling, service companies, and pipelines also associated with oil and gas. I feel that I have too many companies to easily follow and would like some recommendations. Based on your current thoughts can you recommend which I should sell and which I should buy more of and why. Also if there is company that I have not listed which you think is a better fit please consider including that in your recommendations. Based on my history, I usually keep an investment for a minimum of 5 years and some of the above I have had for at least 15 years. Also, if you believe that later in the year may be a better time to consider the trades I am contemplating will you please mention that as well. Thank you very much. I highly value your opinion.

Q: Hi Peter,
Birchcliff Energy seems to be going up everyday. Any idea and what is your opinion on it? Is Paramount Resources a good buy now given their asset sale? I currently own Birchcliff and Tourmaline. Do you think adding Paramount would make sense? Thanks

Q: I own the Paramount 2019 bonds. In the press release there is a paragraph about the 2019 notes. The redemption option is pretty straight forward. Could you explain the consent to keep the bonds part.
After the deal Paramount will have more cash/assets than debt, even though it's 3 years away, it seems they'll likely be able to pay back the principal, I'm leaning towards keeping the bonds. Would you agree?

Q: Hello Peter,
Any idea why Tourmaline oil's stock price hardly moves or moves lower whereas Birchcliff Energy and Paramount resources continues to climb higher given that paramounts' balance sheet is not as good as Tourmaline's. Thanks

Q: Dear Sirs,
Looking for a current commentary on POU, noting its high debt burden-is this debt load insurmountable and nearing a point of being unserviceable? As well, could you please pass along a few names that have more reasonable debt that could offer some torque on a recovery in the underlying commodity.
Many thanks,
Brad

Q: Hi Peter and 5i Team
I'm currently holding Paramount Energy and I've been riding that stock skidding from 13's to 9 after the quarter result. At the current situation of natural gas and oil price, as well as the current company outlook, do you suggest me to keep holding or accumulate more at this level to averaging out? Thanks in advance

Q: for your reader who asked about paramount, I have it from a reliable source that the reason the stock is going up while other oil and gas companies are tanking is that land adjacent to theirs owned by private interests has a huge huge oil discovery.i trust my source on this one. dave
Q: HI Peter,
Can you shed light as to why companies like POU are going up and companies such as TOU, SGY, SPE and CPG are going down? Thanks very much

Q: Hi 5i,
I own Paramount Resources (POU) as part of my portfolio. The Company released results today and sales from their new Musreau facility are said to be imminent. With the capex mostly behind them for this project and production set to double by the end of the year, do you foresee Paramount initiating a dividend or will they continue to focus on growth and save their money for additional capital expenditures.
Thanks,
Jason
