Q: Hi 5i,
I'm considering our 2020 TFSA contribution options and wonder whether we should add to our BAM holding (1.7%), OpenText (1.5%) or start a new position in Kinaxis? Our other Brookfield holdings (in registered accounts) include BEP (5%) and BIP (4%). Thanks for your advice.
Q: These are my stocks in my TFSA as of today. A full position is $11K. All performing well, thank you for that 5i. My thought for this year's contribution I would add to GSY and KXS. Also thought of replacing EQB with ATCO. May I have your input please. Thanks in advance David
Q: So my 19-year-old son just opened up his first investment account today. We were wondering what you thought would be a great first Canadian equity pick for the long haul.
Q: I'm a bit confused. The Nasdaq is up. All the markets are generally up. Tech in the US is up. But ALL Canadian tech stocks are down, and in some cases down heavily. What would account for this?
Q: I have 13 positions "growth" stocks portfolioat different weighting performing prity well accept for SQ & NFLX both 15% down.
Weighting:
CSU- 17.3%
LSPD- 10.8%
BYD.un- 3.7%
KL- 5.7%
KXS- 2.8%
AQN- 3.8%
ADBE- 8.6%
AMZN- 9.6%
SQ- 5.9%
NFLX- 5.6%
MA- 12.4%
MSFT- 7.8%
AYX- 6.6%
I have 40K kash to invest and Im thinking of buying new 5% possition of GSY and addinng 1.5% to BYD.UN or to KXS. What is your opinion and mayby different sugestion for new stock names and adding to different positions.
Thanks for excellent service.
Andrew
Q: Good morning all,
In an earlier answer to Dave it was suggested that "we might sell ..... and one of KXS/CSU. For clarification does this mean that you somehow consider KXS and CSU somewhat equivalent? I was surprised to see these two companies considered as one or other type positions and would appreciate a bit of an explanation.
Many thanks,
Brian
Q: Hello 5i
I own all of the companies noted. I'm wondering if there is excessive overlap here and if I should sell one or more in an effort to reduce overall holdings?
Thanks
Dave
Q: Hi 5i Team - Could you provide the names of 5 or 6 companies which you think have potential for good growth but are still in relatively early stages of development and are still pretty much unknown to the investment world. I am looking for companies with manageable levels of debt or no debt at all. Sector and market cap are not a factor. Thank you.
Q: I own only these two companies in an unregistered account and need to raise some cash, so I need to sell either a 1/2 position of one or 1/4 position of each. Both holdings are up substantially (100% and 80% respectively). Based on continued future growth, do you have a suggestion of how I should proceed? Thanks so much.
KXS looks like it's finally breaking out after a period of consolidation. It currently represents a 3.5% weighting in my portfolio. Is now a good time to bring it to a full weighting of 5%?
Q: Appreciate your long term view on this one. When it was bouncing around the mid 60 you stressed that overtime based on the investments they are making it will pay off and it has. Now the analyst are bumping up price targets all over the place. Thanks for keeping things in perspective.
