Q: Hello Peter,
Do you have an opinion on Cameco’s recent quarterly results? The outlook did not sound positive and I think the stock price is headed nowhere for at least one quarter. If you concur, then at least in the short term (3-6 months ) I want to consider selling CCO and parking the money in Intertain. Now, I have a full position in IT and recently went overweight AYA @18. IT has also been beaten down and my theory is that the downside is limited but the snapback in IT is potentially high based on what valuation AYA receives from investors/market; plus the probability of decent earnings which the management seems confident. AYA upside is probably capped but IT could be pulled along and be the beneficiary. I am looking for a quick home run (30-50%) in the short term to cheer me up as the long term investments take a battering. The intention is not to be overweight in IT for the long haul. I would like your opinion- should I sell Cameco or not, and if I do, should I park it in IT or keep it as cash while waiting for the market to settle down? Or would you suggest something else? This is in the RRSP so no tax implications.

Q: Happy Holidays,

Agree with others who compliment your service. I feel it fills a nice niche for DIY investors who are looking for more information on investment decisions.

My question, having gone through the short report on IT, I am amazed at how "amateurish" it is in many ways (use of language, graphics, etc…) I still do not fully understand how it is legal for companies to release reports like this with no accountability. With the rash of these types of reports lately, do you feel we are getting near an inflection point where regulators will attempt to do something about this behaviour?

Regards,

Robert

Q: Just my simple macro.opinion.Investors must have confidence in co.management, who has attributes like honesty,"put the stakeholders first",delvery &/or overdelivery results, etc.Of course, financial metrics are also important. Investors do not like the excessive executives compensation of IT.When the short attack came,it is SELL,& ask questions later. As we are all awared that this is a nerveous market & a important event like short attack, quarterly results acquistions etc can cause substantial fluctuations either way.Recently there are companies that investors lost no confidence in the management resulting in big drop

Q: I realize the damage is done to the share price but does the company's pretty pathetic rebuttal, so far, lead you to believe there might be some credibility to the short argument? I've read the short report and found it hard to follow but the jist I got was that earnings are being manipulated, management "appears" checkered, sales are slowing and debt is high.

Q: Hello,

Is this market making investors hit the sell button for no real reason? Two stocks that I own at higher prices, IT and SWKS, I decided to add to in this three or four day pull back in the market. I woke up this morning and found IT down 7.5%, even though they seem to have a good quarter. SWKS, popular with seeking alpha, was down 5% because Apple had a hiccup. How much longer do you think this type of market will continue?

Thank you,
Dennis
