Q: At this point do we see any positive outlook for 2024+. There seems to be value in the company, and analysts seem to think there is still value/upside. Mr. Market on the other hand seems to disagree

Q: What happened to Dorel today. Down 50% ???
Q: I’m considering selling Dorel once the dividend is paid. If the stock is sold on the dividend ex-date, who get dividend the buyer of the seller?
Q: What do you think of buying some of this in a non registered account for the tax benefits you could receive.
If I buy at the current price ~ $24. before ex-dividend on Jan 18th I get a U$12.00 dividend (about C$15.57). Assume the stock drops down to $10. and I sell the stock I break even on cost, but I get a dividend tax credit and a capital loss on the sale of the stock. Both are a tax advantage.
If I buy in a registered account, it is more of a gamble with no tax benefits. Looking at their other business lines I can't see anything that would make me interested in holding after the sale of the bike business.
Looks like 3 or more insiders hold about 6mm shares. Nice dividend for them.
I realize you can't be tax experts, but I thought it was an interesting option.
Would like to hear your comments.
Thanks

Q: What do you think the remaining value of DII will be after the planned special dividend is paid out?
Q: With Dorel selling it's bicycle business how does the company look for long term growth and profit and what other company's would be a better investment? I am looking at TOI, STC, CTS and TIXT.
Q: What do you think about the announcement that DII.B is selling their cycling business? Can you explain why this stock doubled today after this announcement? The company is selling its most profitable part of the business and now some analysts are saying it is a $46 stock.
Q: Dorel was recently a planned privatization but this was rejected by shareholders and now the stock trades well below the offer price. Is now a good time to buy shares?

Q: Hi,
Can you pick 2 of these growth stocks, BYD, BAM, TFII, DII, that you would want to own for the next few years, hopefully with less volatility?

Q: I assume your position on Dorel has not changed ( mid 2018 questions)....No growth, high dept, and now no div. I like several of their brands so was somewhat curious if it might be getting into value play area, Doesn't seem to be the case based on your answers to previous questions.
Q: I have owned Dorel Class B shares for a few years and it has gone down quite a bit. It currently trades in the range of $18.50 which is a far cry from the trading range of the low $30's in 2016 and 2017. Do you know why the price has sunk so low lately? Would you sell this stock now or wait for the price to recover?
Q: Your opinion on this company particularly on its dividend sustainability.
Q: What is happening at Dorel Industries, would it be a buy know.

Q: Howdy! The Kiki Delaney chapter in "Market Masters" has inspired me to invest more in Quebec-based equities. I already have BCE, CAE, CNR & GUD. Please rank the top 3 in this list (or other Quebec-based equities that I didn't list) to add right now purely on long-term (3-5 yrs) appreciation (value + dividends).
Thank you,
David L

Q: I know you do not like this company but do you think there is a trading opportunity as the shares have dropped considerably lately and trade at low levels with a significant dividend yield (about 5.0%).
Q: Would you please comment on this company
