Q: Hi Team 5i,

I have been patiently awaiting the recovery of the O&G sector. I am under water on the list of 9 stocks listed. I have been patient and have harvested dividends and DRIPed in the meantime (bank brokerage DRIPing). But with the current US admin and shift to renewable energy sources, I am concerned that the recovery may be a long time (decades ?) away. My question is ... if I chose to sell a few of the above stocks, which do you think might be the poorist performers given the current energy environment and therefore could have the longest time to recover).

Q: Hi Peter and Staff
I was another investor who had too much weighting in oil- aside from a few that went out of business , I have held the rest until now and still have more $ in oil than I now want as a percentage weighting - not wanting to miss any rally entirely but also not believer in $75 oil coming I am going to shave some monthly until I get to my new weighting / if you were going to sell some of one of the four stocks listed which would you pick and why
Thanks for all you do
Dennis

Q: Good Morning: I want to realize some capital losses on the above energy positions (and others) but do not want to lose exposure to the energy asset class in case of a sudden move upwards (even though I don't expect that in the short term.) So, my plan is to sell all or parts of my losers and buy something else that will give me the same effective exposure. My question is as follows: First, what four stocks in the Cdn. energy sector would you recommend for a purchase at this time; and second, would an etf like XEG be an effective alternative for all or part of this strategy. I may even buy back some of the positions I am currently selling after the 30 day wait period has passed. As always, many thanks. Don

Q: I currently hold (4 yr now) CPG, BTE & VET-all seem to have low debt & high CF per share but it is hard to find the total "all in" cost for ea BOE? I am thinking of adding BNE at some point because it has almost an $8.00 per share cash flow PS and seems cheap based on all metrics-ergo, should be able to support super dividend it pays out: this seems the case for the other holdings as well? What do you think?

Q: Hello Peter and the 5I team
I was wondering about buying a high yield oil stock I was considering BNE. My short list is CPG, BTE, BNE, COS, WCP.....I already own some WCP, would you just add to that position ( it is approximately a 3.5% holding now. My oil holdings are about 10% of total in my portfolio)? How do you think BNE stacks up against the other ones? What are your thoughts on BNE? If you don't like BNE what stock would you like?

Thanks

Q: Hi Peter & Co.,
I've been waiting for the right time to take a position in Bonterra Energy. They announced yesterday that CRA may be reassessing their taxes for 2008-2012, which could result in a $25M tax bill. Mgmt advises this will not affect their business plan or payment of dividends. What do you think? Should I be concerned about the impact of a reassessment, or does this present a good entry point? (stock is down today)
Many thanks!
