Q: Hello 5i team,
I need to crystallize some losses to neutralize some 2020 capital gains: which would you sell first (in what order)? ACQ, CXI, MX, NFI, XTC? I am reluctant to sell : ACQ right now because of its excellent momentum. ACQ seemed to be turning things around before COVID, and they seem to be doing the right things again right now. Also reluctant to sell MX and NFI because they are slowly grinding higher and having good cyclical upside potential. If I sell CXI, I would feel like selling at the bottom, I would prefer to wait to see its performance when international travel reopens a little bit more (hopefully) in 2021. That leaves XTC, but I need a little more selling than only XTC. May be only a partial sale, but each only account for 1% to 1,5% of my total portfolio.
Thank you for your collaboration, Eric

Q: ACQ has ticked up but I am still at a 50% loss (registered act). In the interest of getting rid of laggards and an attempt to high grade into quality names currently at discounts...would you cut your losses on this one or hold for recovery
Q: ACQ has risen rapidly in the past few days. Do you know the reason and do you think it will continue to rise.

Q: ACQ's January 28 new release caused a slight jump in the stock price. Based on the new release, should I hang on for better days or jump ship? I have no reason to hold this stock other than to try to recoup some more of my $20 purchase cost. Thank you.
Q: Two good quarters in a row point to a potential 2020 p/e of 6, while debt has been knocked down to less than 2 ebitda? Seems to good to be true, what's not to like?
Q: Hello
Could you give your thoughts on ACQ and KPT following recent earnings.
Thank you

Q: I have a question about AutoCanada Inc
They have entered into a strategic relationship with Quorum Information Technologies Inc. (QIS). Your thoughts on how this might help AutoCanada? Is QIS a company to consider making an investment in?

Q: I am currently down 82% on this stock. I am in a Growth Portfolio. I have diversified across all sectors and geographies. I am considering selling and then investing proceeds in one of the following: XWD, CEF, or VGG.
Do you see any future growth potential for ACQ? If not, which of the 3 options would you suggest I invest in for growth.
Thanks for your continued assistance.

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan
I am in the dog house on listed stocks in my registered accounts (RRSP/TFSA/RESP). For TOY and TSGI , I will wait for your review in Q&A section. As part of cleaning up portfolio would you keep these or if not then replace with which stocks? Money requirement and risk is not an issue.
Value your opinion. Thanks

Q: Hi,
thanks to 5i, my portfolio is fairly well diversified and overall doing quite well. The equities listed in this question are the ones I'm down on the most, some are near 25-50% losses. What general guidelines help determine whether to sell these 'losers' and move the remaining funds to other stocks or whether to continue to hold? Can you list each of these with a buy/sell/hold on a longer term (20 yr) view, these are all 1-5% each of the total portfolio. Deduct as many credits as needed since there are really two questions here.

Q: ACQ is the biggest laggard in my portfolio. I own a small position and I'm down just over 40%. I'm thinking about selling. Do you support me cutting my losses or is there a compelling reason to stick it out?
Thanks for your great advice as usual.

Q: I see the rolling banner on BNN/Bloomberg is reporting that the CEO & CFO have resigned in a Management overhaul. Do you think this increases the odds of a sale of the company?
Will it help stop the bleeding?
Thanks,
Scot
