Q: Could I have your comments on Athabasca Oil's press release late yesterday with their Operational Update and 2020 budget. What is the life of their reserves? I am correct in interpreting from the release that for every US$5 increase in WTI above US$45 WTI (considering a $17.50 WCS differential) the company stands to benefit CDN$70 million? At $0.53 this morning is this company worth taking a risk. Thanks

Q: Can you comment on the earnings of Athabasca Oil? Also, I understand its balance sheet has improved since it's recent asset sale. Can you tell me the debt burden it currently has. I am thinking of buying it for a several year hold, awaiting a return of better oil prices. Can this company, with its current balance sheet, survive several years if oil prices stayed down? Q: Assuming oil prices stay between 70 to 75, which of the following would you recommend first, please arrange in the order of preference for the following criteria :

good management
leverage to the higher sustainable oil price
great assets and net backs
reasonable balance sheet
good Western Canadian price for their oil.

Q: I was interested in purchasing Athabasca Oil, given Eric Nuttall's recent comments on BNN that while the company's debt load is presently high, it should be "debt free in 3 or 4 months."

5 I, on the other hand, makes no mention of reduction of debt in Athabasca's future, in a recent comment and suggests further it is not a top choice.

Would you be able to elaborate on this please?
(5 I is my go-to for checks and balances, and I hardly do anything on the market now, without your opinion!)

If not Athabasca, what would be a good "growthier" name in the Energy/Oil space that you could recommend, with good conscience, at this time.
