Q: I am curious what information you have on BITW and your opinion on the crypto market as a whole. It has a 2.5% mer but remarkable performance YTD. I presently hold IBIT and ETHQ and until recently was a doubter but can not argue with returns to date.

Q: I know nothing about bitcoin but I understand that MSTR stock holds a lot of bitcoin. Why is the stock performance of MSTR so much better than IBIT bitcoin ETF. Shouldn't they be reasonably close and correlated? What is MSTR's fundamental business and how do they make money?
Q: Is the IBIT ETF allowed to be held in a TFSA ?
- I understand Bitcoin or other Crypto cant be held directly in a TFSA
- I know you aren't tax consultants, But would appreciate a general knowledge answer...
Thanks,
M

Q: Hi guys,
I have a balance"ish" type of portfolio (mostly all 5i balance/growth stocks). Since the U.S. elections are over, would 5i recommend participating in the bitcoin sector, or is it still too risky for a balance portfolio? Please provide recommendations (etfs or companies), should you like this idea.
Thanks
Jim

Q: Quick follow up to my question on max weighting for BTC in a portfolio; what would be the max portfolio weighting that the most aggressive investor amongst the 5i crew would be comfortable with?
Q: What is your outlook for BTC? It seems it has been consolidating since may. Do the technicals suggest it is due for a breakout?
I added aggressively to my position in IBIT this Monday, upping my stake to 13% of my portfolio. I own no gold.
For an aggressive investor, what would
Be the maximum reasonable position size for BTC?
Please comment on my move. Feel free to admonish me know if needed.
Thank you.

Q: For gold, I've always liked your idea of holding the real thing. I therefore followed your advice to have PHYS which I hold as an insurance rather than for trading.
I'm looking to build the same thing in Bitcoin for about 5% of my portfolio. Can you recommend an ETF or fund that is based on holding bitcoin (rather than one that places bets on it).
I'd like to know your opinion on the best one in CAD and in USD. Since I'm holding it for the long term, would it be better to covert to USD and hold it all there?
Please also give your opinion on the 'insurance' strategy and whether you think 5% of each of gold and bitcoin is a suitable amount for this purpose.
Thanks as always.

Q: Could you compare the cumulative returns between BTCC and BTCY for the past 2 years or so. I know a yielding product would typically return less over time with an appreciating underlying asset, but I'm wondering what the comparison is assuming one reinvested dividends?
Also, could you also suggest what bitcoin etf in Canada has the lowest fees or the best one to use for a long term hold?
Thanks very much

Q: Where do you see the price of Bitcoin going in the next year? I am looking to sell within that time frame as I need the money to pay off debts.
Q: Everyone, Bitcoin, there has been a lots of talk about crypto for many years but I am hesitant until it is supervised by the treasury departments of countries. Until then it is nothing more than a digital currency that could have no value. That being stated politicians will start to approve if it will get them a vote. Rule number one of a politician is get elected and rule two is get re elected. So do I wait or do I purchase an ETF? Do I purchase in quarter pieces over the course of a year? Or what? Clayton

Q: Hi 5i,
Interested on which you think will perform better in a crypto bull market? An ETF like IBIT or something like COIN? Also, the fact that I've warmed up to crypto should be a warning to everyone that it's going to fall. :)
TIA!
