Q: I own CAT anticipating a growth in sales in 2024 due to infrastructure spending in the US. I also own TIH as my industrial exposure in Canada. Does it make sense to hold both or are they too similar? If I decide to change TaiH to another industrial holding in Canada, what would be your preferred options to consider? I already own CP and TFII for my other industrial exposures.

Q: Back in February 5i had responded to an MG vs TIH comparison request. I guess I was a bit surprised that you had favoured MG. I'm trying to understand MG's risks in the new EV world. How dependent is MG on the legacy companies for business? If they are quite dependent, are there not a lot of legacy costs (and therefore disruption risks) with these type of companies compared to the Teslas of the auto world who have built from the ground up on EV production? Maybe it's a case of MG having other avenues of growth in EV design and production that I'm not aware of.
Regarding TIH, what is its historic yield range ? Is the upper part of the range about 2.3% ?

Q: Which of FTT or TIH would you buy here and why? I think Toromont has always been the quality choice but of course you have to pay a premium for it. Time for FTT or buy TIH while it’s below $100? Thanks
Q: Dear 5i,
I am considering buying these for a long term hold.
Is there a lot of overlap between DE and TIH.
Do you think one needs to own both or none?
If only one, which one would you prefer and what are the key reasons
you chose it over the other one. Thanks for your advice.

Q: These companies all seem to be at a premium to P/B ratios and have similar dividend yields and WSP is likely the company that is not a direct comparison within the group but all would be industrial based in my mind. Would you please rank your order of preference of the three for a three to five year timeframe. Thank you!
Q: Good morning just wondering if you have any thoughts and news why TIH is going down today
Thank you for all you do

Q: I'm trying to choose between TIH and MG.
1. Which has the best long term growth?
2. Which has the future dividend growth?
3. Which has the better balance sheet?
4. Which has the better management?
5. Which is least vulnerable to competition / disruption?
6. Which is 5i Research's pick overall - if there are any particular reasons, please let me know.

Q: On January 12/21 you picked TRI over TIH. Throwing TFII into the pot which would you pick now for steady growth with a 3 to 5 year hold? Would you please rank for the greatest capital gain and least volatility. Thank you and have a very merry Christmas.

Q: I have historically held my investments in mutual funds through a financial advisor. I subscribed to 5i Research approximately 3 years ago and made my first investments in equities and an ETF based primarily upon information obtained from 5i Research. The returns on VGRO ETF and my equities have been 2 to 4 times the gain for my mutual funds. I recently upgraded my subscription to include Portfolio Analytics. Based upon portfolio analytics, my current portfolio is reasonably well balanced with recommendations to add healthcare and industrials as well as some international exposure. I have cash on hand that I want to invest. I will hold my investments for the next 5 to 10 years. I am looking at purchasing some additional equities and an ETF with good growth potential at moderate risk. Please provide top 10 recommendations with rankings for stocks that I should consider adding to my portfolio. Q: I need to add to my industrial and health care positions of my portfolio.
I am having a hard time deciding which too add.
Would you rate these for long term holds
I am going to add TIH and would like one more industrial maybe two healthcare names. just alittle concerned that alot of these names have benefited from covid except for stryker but i think it has run up on anticipation of more surgeries coming back

Q: Hi 5i,
The what appears to be steady business of Toromont stands out to me. What do you see as the major differences between Toromont and Finning today, and which do you prefer?
Thank you!

Q: To gain exposure to industrials would you prefer TIH, FTT, Stantec or another? Are TIH and FTT similar businesses, meaning would you ever hold both in the same portfolio with a limited number of holdings?
Q: Your present thoughts on Toromont Ind. please. By the way...my best investment to date, bar none...subscribing to 5i. Thanks folks.
