Q: Hi - you have often commented that you see BN as a better growth stock than BAM, and yet BN doesn't seem to be yielding a lot more growth.... How long do you think until it truly overshadows BAM?

Q: Do you have data on their current sector allocations? I have tried text searching and reviewing the Q&As for the past many months but cannot find anything. I also have positions in BEP, BIP and BIPC but I believe they are more narrowly focused on their sectors from what I read.

Across all accounts, our holdings in the Financial Sector include BN, FFH, GSY, MFC, SLF, and the CEW ETF. I feel that this is a fairly good representation but realize that the Canadian banking sector is quite low, and the US banking sector is non-existent in our portfolio. Portfolio Analytics indicates that we need more exposure in this sector.

Several questions; please deduct question credits accordingly.

1. TipRanks shows that BN has a P/E ratio of 125.13. Can this be true?

2. A recent question from a 5i member asked about Sagicor SFC, which prompted me to investigate it further. I realize that it’s a small-cap stock, but noticed that for the 3 month, 6 month, and year-to-date periods, it has excellent momentum (which I know you like) and has a really low P/E ratio of 1.51, which I assume to be correct.

3. Because I feel that Trump tariffs are more of a possibility than not, I’m in the process of adjusting some sectors but not all, in case the tariffs don’t happen.

4. Would you endorse a small holding in SFC, (say a half-position) using proceeds from the sale of more tariff-vulnerable stocks?

5. Finally, could you suggest some Canadian-domiciled ETFs that would give us needed exposure to both the Canadian and US banking sector?

Q: One of my children (early 20's) has funds in a TFSA they are looking to put in a high risk/high return stock. I'd asked them to do some homework on their own and they've (with some back and forth) come up with 3 names; 2 of which do not register when symbols entered.

Already owned are ASCU (1/2 position), Full positions of BN, LMN, RY, TCS, 1.5x positions of TVE, GOOG and 3x position of NVDA.

Biotech or tech seem to be the preferred themes but are not "must own" if there is something better,

The top 3 names so far are Coveo, Cardiol and Oncolytics Biotech. I would appreciate your thoughts on these 3 options, perhaps place them in order of preference and add 2 you would recommend as a high risk/high reward test.

Can you please rank from 1 (highest confidence) to 6. Looking for companies that I can periodically but continually add to over time without worrying about having to be a “trader” and move into and out of positions as trends, themes and market momentum shift. I already have BN and NVDA (both of which may have been candidates for your top 6 list). Would this list be any different had the question been asked a week ago – before all the DeepSeek anxiety? Q: Perhaps I wasn't crystal clear in my earlier question on these 3 - Canadian companies with US operations could be a target under the IRS section 891 to double taxes paid on their US operations. What Canadian companies might be affected by 891 in retaliation for our Digital Services Tax to pay more US tax?
