Q: Parkland has recently been downgraded by TD Securities from a target of $25 down to $23. Is there any reason for concern?
Q: Peter and Team,
In trying to follow the model portfolio moves, I am looking to add PKI. The one wart that I see is that, in your last report, it showed a payout ratio above 100%. Do you still see this and are you concerned about it>?

Q: Is there any specific news or event impacting PKI and causing its weakness today? What current opinion do you have on PKI? Thank you.
Q: PKI seems to be stable in an unstable market overall and for oil in particular. As a long term investor is it a buy or would IMO a little lower from current price be a better buy? Thanks for your valued opinion.

Q: Hi team, Any reason you know for the sharp drop!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Q: Could you give your opinion of Parkland's 3Q results. They charaterize them as "Strong".
Q: Hi Peter: Just read your report on PKI. I purchased 3000 shares Sept 12/13 @ 17.18 per share. I am 80 years in good health. Should I sell and lock in my profit or keep for the good dividend I receive? Thank you for your opinion.

Q: Will Parkland benefit from the current reduction in refining capacity in Gasoline (driving up prices at the pump), will it harm them, or is it a non-issue?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Was reading the TD report on PKI today. They were saying it was going nowhere till oil moves up but speculated on its ability to pick up assets on the cheap and that being some sort of outlier catalyst. I am happy PKI for oilpatch exposure but what does it's balance sheet look like to you for it being able to pick up cheap assets in the meanwhile?
Q: Hi, could you please share your analysis of Parkland earnings release of Thursday evening and estimates. Also, I would appreciate your comments on Cash flow and Dividend pay out Ratio. Thanks
Q: Hello team, PKI keeps falling.....any specific reason? What's your outlook going forward?
Thank you!
Thank you!
Q: How do you view the situation for PKI now that the acquisition of Pioneer has closed? Seems they have to semi divest much of the Pioneer retail outlets in eastern Canada. The price just dropped 2% today so some of the market is not happy with the outcome of the Competition Tribunal order. Do you feel that the 4% dividend is still relatively secure with the limitations applied by order?
Q: Hello team, Your comments pls. on: "Competition Bureau Opposes Parkland Fuel Corporation's Acquisition of Pioneer Energy in 14 Communities". How would this affect PKI.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Q: Hi team, PKI has had a good run since beginning of the year. Do you think it still has more room to run? I know fundamentals are what drive a company, but I also know that a lot of traders/investors look at TA and get "worry" when a stock price is far above the 200DMA. Should we care about that?
Thank you!
Thank you!
Q: I own PKI and they reported today. They raised the dividend slightly but the 3 month payout ratio shows at 117%. What are your comments on the results? Thanks for all your help.
Q: Hi Peter, Regarding the closing of acquisition of Pioneer Energy:
"Parkland announces that its 2015 guidance of $235 million to $265 million in EBITDA will be reduced due to this delayed closing. Parkland's 2015 guidance will be updated once the consents and approvals have been obtained, and the anticipated closing date for the Acquisition is determined. Parkland does not expect the annualized EBITDA of the Acquisition of approximately $55 million to be affected by this delayed closing."
What are your thoughts on this? How would this affect the stock price? I own it @ 21.50....if affected negatively, would it be a good idea to sell and repurchase at a lower price?
Thank you! and I wish you, your team and all the members a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year!!

Q: Hello, we are looking to both put the maximum 5500.00 in to our Tfsa accounts early in 2015. We have done well with Parkland in a registered account but am wondering whether it is heavily or overly dependent on the Alberta economy. Also considering Concordia/Currency Exchange/CCL as well. Our focus is 3 year minimum hold. Your regular comments to invest in companies rather than trade the market is very reassuring when there are sudden moves in the market. Thank you! Bill
Q: Hi, PKI down ~7%.....no news I can find. Do you know why?
Thx

Q: I hold Crescent Point Energy, Inter Pipeline, and Parkland Fuel. With the volatility in oil prices the past few weeks all three are generally moving relative to movements in the oil price. This makes sense for CPG and IPL as they will be directly affected by lower oil prices and related volumes. However I'm not sure why PKI would be so closely tied to oil prices as they are a distributor and presumably lower fuel prices may actually cause an increase in consumption. Do you have any thoughts?
