Q: For energy exposure for the next 2 yrs or so which would you choose? Or, would you buy both? The other “conventional” energy names held are SU (recent) and VET (long time sufferer).
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: Parex has been recently lagging other oil and gas stocks. For the foreseeable future does stocks like WCP, TOU or ERF represent better upside opportunities .
Thank you for your excellent service

Q: I saw back in april 2018 the share price was same as it is now at 66 wti oil. Since then share buybacks and dividends have occurred. In this environment shouldn't we be closer to 30. What does the company have to do differently to get there. Would an acquisition do it or make sense. Also when you talk to these companies do you ever give advice.

Q: What theoretical price should this be trading at with todays 73.85 oil price.
Q: Is there a simple formula I can use to calculate what price an oil company should be trading at. I would like to use it for Parex and a couple others.
Thanks Steve

Q: I have heard that one of the things that is a strong indicator a stock will outperform the market is the initiation of a dividend for the 1st time. I believe it may have been Peter who mentioned this on MarketCall. Parex announced Wednesday evening that they are initiating a dividend for the 1st time. I'm wondering what degree of outperformance you typically see from a company that begins paying a dividend, and how long does that outperformance typically last.

Do you think there is more upside in the O & G stocks. If so what would you suggest?
Also the same goes for basic materials. I am not interested in gold. What would be your picks for basic materials.
Thanks for your service, I would be lost without it.

Q: Do you agree this should be north of 25 dollars right now and institutional investing is hyper sensitive to the protests and won't touch it. They're waiting for guidance by the company before they make a move.
Cheers Steve

Q: Back in 2018 (seems so long ago) you described AOI as “It is setting up to be an interesting value proposition.”
Does this statement still hold true and are there other micro-oil & gas companies out there that might be worth a look? Thanks!

Q: Do you recommend starting a large position if you are risk adverse regarding the political climate in Colombia.
Q: Parex news reports. in addition to mentioning the impressive buyback program, have been referring to Columbian riots that have been impacting its ability to distribute its product. I don't anticipate any big insights on Columbian politics but has Parex released any news that might indicate whether the recent declines are more opportunity than "imminent collapse"?
Q: This company appears exceptionally well run and I was wondering if you could speak to the share buyback strategy employed by them or generally. Is it expected the buyback program will eventually lead to a squeeze on the share price pushing it higher or is it implemented to improve EPS and other metrics? Curious if there is a tipping point with buyback programs to propel the share price.
Q: This is five days in a row in the red for Parex. What was so bad in their earnings report to cause this. Oil is surging.
