Q: 2 question : So bomber has bounced a bit so time for me to suck it up and sell at a 30% loss. Sell now or hold off a few more days to see if it has some legs.
Once I sell BBD.b what full position of the balanced equity portfolio would you buy right now: ccl, gud, nfi, sis, sj, syz, t or toy? Currently rebalancing my CAD equity portfolio to loosely match your portfolio and those above fill gaps in my allocation. Open to off the list suggestions but already overweigh or OK in financials, energy and tech.

Q: Hi 5i, can you please advise me if TOROMONT INDUSTRIES (TIH) is a good company to own for the next 3-5 years? This company had appreciation over 100% in the last 5 years and had an approximate gain of 25% in the last 12 months. With the price being around 9% below its most recent high, would you think that it would be a good time for an initial purchase? or can you suggest another company you would recommend in this sector, Thank you for all your help!
Q: Gentlemen,
As you know I have $100,000 face value of the the NFI Convertible Debenture that is now selling at approx $400.
Maturity is June 30, 2017. I am trying to figure out what price to sell them at, given that the stock is selling in Canadian funds and the bonds are price in US funds.
The stock converts at 100 shares per $000 bond, but I am confused by the currency.
To figure out the price that I offer these debentures for sale, do I simply multiply the stock price X's 100 X's the currency exchange rate of 1.37 and divide by 10 to get the price per $100 face value?
The conversion info is here:
https://www.newflyer.com/investor-relations/performance
As you know this is a large trade for me and I don't want to screw up.
Thanks
Sheldon

Q: Based on available historical data, the above have compounded earnings > 10%. I intend to put these good companies into a RRIF to boost the return of a mostly bond/gic content.
In your opinion would you regard each of the above as a good company that should be able to provide a relatively stable future annual return of 8% to 10% with the exception of a market meltdown. Looking for some reassurance regarding the picks. Thank you.
