Q: 35% of mortgage loans in Alberta and all in Sask. are non-recourse where you can walk away from the mortgage if you're under water. I see HCG has a Home Trust office in Alberta; would you know how much of this type of lending HCG does in these 2 provinces or is this info even available? Can one know which are the biggest lenders in these areas - the big 5 banks, perhaps? We do know the Bank of Canada is concerned about some housing prices being up to 30% overvalued and FP did a piece on this recently:

Q: HCG is down over 20% since i bought it in July. It's in my TFSA, so I can't do a tax loss sell. The questions is, should I just wait it out and hope for the best? I understand the question is basically not how much I've lost, or even whether or not i can recover it, but whether the ( seriously reduced) money would be better off somewhere else. Thoughts?

Q: I am concerned that a flat yield curve is bad news for HCG in that their margins will be squeezed. I don't think that they will be able to repeat past years' performance. When they were profitable back in 2009, the yield curve was steeper than it is now. I am down 13% with this stock and considering moving on as I think the future does not look bright. Do you think this could be the reason for the drop in the stock price?

Q: This is an observation as opposed to a question. Some of you may have noticed the article on SeekingAlpha posted 4 days ago titled: "Home Capital Group - 50% Downside?". Of course there is always a chance that Home Capital goes through a rough time, but I wouldn't let such an article scare me. First, the author has 25 followers and track record. Also, he seems to have missed the fact that HomeCapital's business is mainly in Ontario. Let's keep our shares until Peter tells us the facts have changed. http://seekingalpha.com/article/2817856-home-capital-group-50-percent-downside
