Q: The company seems to be overpriced as they are still losing cash. They have many competitors in all their sectors. Also, IMAX just closed a huge deal with China's biggest cinema operator committing to 150 IMAX screens, which reduces available space for potential D-BOX screens. As mass market adoption of virtual reality isn't yet a sure thing, would it be safe to sell this stock and rebuy it when on a big pull back? Thanks!
Q: I have been planning to buy a position in Sleep Country but while I was analyzing what positions to reduce t o free up cash, the stock rose 11% on Friday on a very good earnings report. If you did not yet own a position, would you buy now or wait for a pullback?
Q: Hi, Ceapro Inc has garnered a lot of attention in recent months, with mentions of Nutragena, J&J and Jennifer Anniston. Stock appeared to have settled around $1.75-$1.80, but after Mr Peter Imhof made it one of his top picks on BNN, last week, it has shot up by another 25% in 3 days. Bob Mcwhirter mentioned on BNN that co. has built a new plant and would need to grow its revenue 10X to justify market expectations priced in the stock. Could you please provide some perspective on this co. and comment if it deserves this valuation and is worth starting a small position? Thanks
Q: Gentlemen - Wondered if you had any thoughts on Accord Financial? Seems to fit many of your criteria. It is small, pays a nice divi which has grown, is well owned by insiders and has no analyst coverage nor raises any money. It reminds me a little of Prism Medical in that you can hold it, collect a nice dividend and wait for a potential take out down the road. Cheers.
Can you give me your thoughts on lassonde industries. It is a company you do not hear much about but the historical stock performance has been impressive to say the least. What does the company's financials look like ( ie debt, yield, safety as well as future growth in dividend, payout ratio etc) as well as future growth for the company.
Would you recommend taking a position at this time.
Q: It seems to me that the trading pattern of ZCL was very unusual yesterday and today. Yesterday over 200,000 shares traded (about 4X the daily average), yet the price was “contained” within a 1 cent range from 8.99 to 9.00 the whole day. So far today it is the same thing with the price range contained from 8.99 to 9.00. Does this look out of the ordinary to you?
I searched all top picks on BNN’s Market Call, and Market Call Tonight shows for the last 3 years to see how often ZCL was a top pick. It was a top pick three times, but only within the last 3 months (April 8 @ $8.05; May 31 @ $8.69, and June 20 at $9.00). It was not a top pick when it was under $5, $6, $7, and now that it has gone up 40% in a year it suddenly becomes a top pick of several BNN guests. Hmmm. When several BNN guests suddenly make a small company that is not well known a top pick it makes me a little suspicious (could they be unloading after the nice run up).
Reading previous questions about ZCL I see that 5i has liked this stock for a few years. What would you consider a good entry point?
Q: Question 1:Pki has a 5% yield while atd.b is minimal, would atd.b grow significantly enough to overcome the yield difference. If you had to choose one over the other which one would it be? Do you think atd.b will have to do a financing soon?
Question 2: Have you heard of BUS-X Grande West transportation, if so what are your thought on this company, is it likely to be a baby nfi?
Thank you
Lynda
Q: Any comments on the deal announced today with HP?
As a secondary question, when deals that have long closing dates (this is scheduled to close in 2017, I beleive) when should we expect the share price to react? Of course it depends on the deal but is there normally an immediate change, followed by more activity towards the closing date or does it all tend to get baked in right away?
