Q: A follow up on your recent response regarding XHY and BSJK.
What is the difference in risk factors comparing these two funds if interest rates rise as expected over the next 2-3 years.
I would expect BSJK to act like a single bond held to maturity ( 4% annual return with 100% of the principal returned in 2020 ). XHY yields 5.3% but rising rates could substantively reduce its value, resulting in a net loss if redeemed in 2020. Am I understanding this correctly?
Q: I own many of your Canadian stock recommendations. However I keep 20-30 % of my portfolio in US stocks. I am now looking at CGNX and ABS. Although not your area of focus, do you have any concern with either of these ?
Q: Any insights into this US banking company. Do they have room to continue their growth trajectory. Comments on insider holdings, etc would be helpful.
Q: If a person wanted to purchase either of the above for growth, stability which one would you recommend? Or conversely perhaps another transportation stock should be considered..Thank you.
Q: Hi, I have the above stock in non registered account. As of today I lost $4000 US , bought it at 102 and now $67 $ US. What do you recommend? Sell it and claim loss or wait till it recover or add more to it. I added to it when it became $70 US. But it seems it is not doing well. I appreciate your ultimate decision on it or if there is any US solid stocks that you recommend. Thanks
