Q: I already own J&J & WAG in my USD portfolio. I was thinking of adding this one because it has been beaten up-however: really high debt.low EPS & CF & pay-out ratio -but has a high ROE of 76%-none of this adds up to me? Comments please on sustainability of dividend. Just did as deal with Novartis.
Q: Hello 5i team

Q: Hi to All!! A quick question. What are your thoughts on adding ROC (Rockwood Holdings) to a Growth/Divivdend portfolio. It was mentioned that this is good exposure to Lithium, which inturn, will be used in increasing quantities in the auto industry. Thanks, Tamara
Q: I have held STZ for over a year and the return is good, it has moved appreciably since the latest earnings. The question is, I (and probably many others) do quite well at buying stocks, but often miss the signal of when to sell stocks. I know you believe in holding as long as things are going well, but still I have found in my experience that stocks often fall dramatically and give up much of their gains when things go poorly and often there is no warning. For e.g. I owned SYNA saw it go from $50 up to $90 and then drop back almost to the starting point. I would like to have a better way to judge when to sell a stock, or am I asking the impossible. I do apply technical analysis to my stocks as well, maybe I am expecting too much. So if you owned STZ would you continue to hold for the long term, seems no reason to sell and beer sales are up and with summer coming that should continue to bode well or do I look at it and say I have made 30% sell. What are your thoughts or suggestions. Thanks very much.
Q: Interested in a time frame of 12 months Your thoughts

Q: I inherited this company as a spin off quite some years ago. I still hold it in a DRIP. I would like to now what you think of this company and it's prospects.
Q: Hi,
I currently have no healthcare exposure. I would to allocate 10% of my portfolio to healthcare. My question is would you put together your own mini etf of Canadian companies or purchase an etf like IBB? I was leaning towards my own. What companies would you suggest to construct my own. A mix of large and small companies would be great.
Thanks for the help,
Luke

Q: To increase my US exposure rather than selecting specific stocks and not risking dollar price exposure I was considering purchasing the Dow30 index.
Would this be an appropriate fund or are there any others that you would suggest?
Thank you,
Bob

Q: What are your thoughts on this company? I have a small speculative position in a USD SDRSP account. Any better alternatives in the same space?
Thanks for all your help.
Thanks for all your help.
Q: FCX, with a P/E of 10.8 and a dividend of 5.55% seems an obvious buy (all else remaining equal) though despite a relatively high payout ratio (84%). Would this be your favoured blue chip in this sector?
Q: I am looking for a couple of US small cap stocks with good growth potential. Any suggestions? Thanks
Q: Hi 5i I'm looking at buying a U.S. financial..What would your preference be Prudential ( PRU ) or one of the U.S. major banks.

Q: Happy New year to Peter and the rest of the 5i team
Yet another question on a U$ equity which I know is always "a little" out of bounds but... this is a very large cap company that has some significant upside from what I can see. Yet it continues to go down reaching it's lowest point today since Nov 2012.
7X 2015 projected EPS, 25% increase in backlog, Q3 GM up Q over Q, and an expectation of a considerable increase in revenue moving forward.
What am I missing here?
Thanks for all you do

Q: I own Genworth Financial (GNW.US) in TFSA account, and it reported very poor earning last quarter and its cash reserve has been down unexpected significantly. Genworth is scheduled to report in February, and I am afraid it will be another disappointing quarter. Since I can't claim it as capital loss, do you think I should cut my loss to move on other companies or wait for its turn around? I like Starbucks and Michael Kors quite a lot; however, Starbucks valuation is very high, and Michael Kors has just been downgraded by Credit Suisse today.Does it make sense for me to switch from Genworth to Starbucks or Michael Kors at this time? Thanks for your great tips always!
Q: Hello 5i,
Do you have any idea what's happening with Trinity? The last couple of days have been disastrous. The stock dropped 8% on no news...? What are your thoughts on this stock considering 2-3 years horizon? Buy, sell, or hold?
Thanks.

Q: Could I have your opinion of PLUG now that it has declined a fair amount since your last report. It signed a new contract today. Do you see much growth in the future? Thanks
